BLITZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blitz early and often. I can live with us giving up a big play because we sent 6 or 7 at the QB and he makes a nice quick read and we get burnt..

What I can't live with is a blown coverage that the QB has 10 seconds to find because we are rushing 4 against 6 blockers on their o-line.

Blitz = sending more then the 4 d-lineman to the QB.

I don't care how they do it, but if we don't get pressure on the QB tonight

Their offensive line sucks, especially against what is supposed to be the best defensive line in the country. Garcia needs to know he's going to get hurt if he holds on to the ball too long, and he needs to know this on his first offensive series.

At least teach the D line how to rush. Right now they are playing containment, they are not rushing the QB. LSU has the least aggressive D I have seen since the Tepper era. Actually think we had more sacks and turnovers then than we do now.

yea, and according to the play call sheet, the DC's called a blitz on just under 33% of the plays. A lot of them were audibled out of because of the increased gaps of Florida's oline

I'm not breakin your balls, I'm just sick of everyone telling the LSU coaches what to do. If you were qualified for the job then you would be there. Our coaching staff is excellent.

And chances are, if you know it, they definitely know it.

That's what you would think. However, it seems the coaching staff has been "not knowing" certain things that even a amateur football fan can see.

Stubbornness? NC got them feeling invincible and beyond criticism?

Who knows?

I tend to agree with this. I am not saying that we have horrible coaches, but I don't agree at all with what they are doing. With the talent and athletes we have on defense it seems that they are really held back.

When our defense was the best in the nation we turned them loose. Our defense is probably more talented overall now, but they aren't turned loose.

Edit: I was highly critical of Pellini last year as well. I wish him the best of luck at Nebraska and I'm sure he is a great coach, just don't think he was a good fit for the LSU defense.

How do you turn them loose exactly?
