Not that it will happen, or that I want it to happen..

but if SL has trouble in this A&M game, at what point does LK bring in Clark, not merely to play the rest of the game, but give SL a chance to collect himself, read the game from the sidelines, and then possibly go back in?
After 1 interception? 2?

Putting Clark in isn’t going to magically fix the O Line’s pass blocking problems.

If they go down by 14 points or more after the end of the first half due to poor QB play he might get pulled.

If Lane loses to TAM again i believe Baker will have to be let go.

Go watch Flynn's film study podcast. So many times Leavitt had a clean pocket to step up in and hit a wide open WR but chose to run. Yes, the OL was not great but Leavitt panicked all night.

This. It definitely isn't all Sam's fault, but there is a difference between using your legs to extend plays while looking downfield and tucking and running immediately when your first read isn't there.
Bottom line- we have to run the ball effectively for Sam to be effective and gain passing confidence

We are gonna let him work out his kinks. He’s a capable qb but footwork and timing are off right now. Just so happens that those are the things that go to the wayside when you are sidelined as long as he was with his injuries. It’s already hard enough for a qb to come in and adjust to a new place and system but if they miss spring and most of summer it’s almost impossible. Look for him to get better each week

Really? LSU’s defense is ranked 13th in the nation. Only 2 SEC teams are ranked higher, Georgia and Oklahoma.

It’s the easiest position to change for potentially the most impact. Maybe it doesn’t help the line, but maybe he hits a few more open receivers, because he actually sees them? That could help mask some of the issues.
However, I don’t think they should change QBs yet, but I will never fully dismiss the idea of it just because the line is bad. Of course he is a backup and could be as bad if not worse.
The staff probably feels like Sam will improve with more time and experience.

Last Saturday was not on Baker. It was on Kiffin. The soft coverage plan for the first half was his idea. He as much as said so. "We wanted to keep everything in front of us". You do that with a big lead in the 4th quarter. Used to be called prevent defense. Awful plan.

Ole Miss was all but shut down in the 2nd half.
The first half was a compilation of pre-planned game and Sam Leavitt not being able to complete a first down. The defense was gassed by that last drive before the half.
It's not fair to blame Baker. He was basically going against Joe Burrow lite.

Don’t you get it. We’re blaming the O-Line and the defense was only gawd awful because they faced a good QB. Nothing to see here.
