re: Not sure what LSU/Clemson game this writer watched...or maybe they didn't watch it at all.

exactly.

Ignore all the nonsense and just watch the games. If we win enough of them, we'll be in the playoff.

It makes no difference whatsoever what any media pundit thinks.

Ignore them all.

So this chode thinks that by losing and being dominated at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball that Clemson actually showed how strong it is.

Man, that is some 'men can get pregnant" type logic right there.

I want to say this article was initially posted prior to the games, then updated with the results. I could be wrong but I know it was posted a little while ago.

Not defending the content at all.

what Clemson nearly did to LSU

IDK what they “nearly” did, but what they did do was lose badly at home to a 5 point underdog with a with a QB who had the 2nd best odds of winning the Heisman before the season started.

As much as LSU dominated the 2nd half, Clem's son didn't lose badly. The score was always within 1 score the whole game. We certainly had opportunities to distance ourselves in the 2nd half, though.

I mean it was a playoff caliber opening game where LSU was on the road and not favored...

Another delusional writer.

What FSU did to SEC heavyweight Alabama last weekend, and what Clemson nearly did to LSU, should make clear what was obvious all along.

What this reveals is that the ACC recognizes they are inferior. Doesn’t matter the ranking, they are always punching up. Feeling like they are little brother!

LSU dominated Clemson in the second half but the true definition of dominating an opponent is to actually score points and a lot of points…

Clempson is 0-7 against ranked SEC teams last 7 such games. Cries like a little girl over PI calls. He's embarrassing.

The article is nothing more than a cry for the sec to see Florida state and Clemson as SEC worthy schools. It’s a very sad attempt. The writer is a Florida alum.

What Clemson nearly did. Poor little journalist, he must have meant what the refs nearly did to LSU!

Anyone who knows football, knows that LSU dominated them in the second half. Final scores are sometimes not a true reflection of the game.

I clicked the article ans saw it was Matt Hayes, and i knew i remembered that name.

Okay, so this dude used to be a writer for Saturday Down South. I'm sure plenty of you know that site. I used to frequent it a lot years ago, but it isn't the same anymore IMO.

Anyway, Hayes isn't trying to prop up the ACC. He wants FSU and Clemson in the next expansion of the SEC (cuz yall know it's coming within the next 4-6 years). He's using the scoreboard to prove that the SEC needs to bring in those two to compete with the Big Ten.

In actuality, although his Clemson take is garbage, if FSU and Clemson had to go to the SEC, they are definitely two of the teams that would learn to adapt and be two of the toughest teams in the conference yearly. Both have won national championships in the last 15 years playing against SEC teams, and if Dabo wanted to spend money for the portal, Clemson would. You don't even have to ask FSU.

Because they live in fantasy land instead of reality. Just another symptom of the disingenuous nature of our larger society. To the younger generations, truth is just what each individual decides that it is. Grown children.
