I’ll be surprised if we go worse than 7-5 , I believe we’re getting slept on a bit

Phil Steele

This guy is a joke at this point in his career. If this team can’t crack the top 25, BK isn’t who we thought he was.

8-4 is a good year , you can be 8-4 and unranked

Expecting a lot???

The Dline is as elite as it comes and the LB’s are above average. The secondary isn’t as bad as some people think. There is experience there and Arkansas used these guys well. The defense may not be elite but it BETTER be better than the last 2 seasons.

Oline has the most talent on it in a very long time, with 2019 being the only exception. RB room is above average for the SEC and our WR corps is elite. Brennan had a great showing in 2020 until he tore that muscle. I’m not calling for a 10 win season but 8-4 should be our floor.

College football news had us ranked 35 at end of last year with 6-7 record. USCe was at 38 with a 7-6 record. So yes 7-5 would be top 40 considering strength of schedule.

Your probably right the more I think about it. I’m just saying 8-4 wouldn’t be a bad year

Ladies and gentlemen this is what you call posturing. He probably had sprinkled this same story through other threads and bookmarked them so he can start shitty threads about Brian Kelly if the team goes 7-5.

This is the kind of person that wil spew shite without looking at the schedule and the opponents in detail such as who each is returning, what their level of experience was etc.

We lost far better DBs TO ARKY than we got in return. That Arky team last season was a joke.

What if LSU went 7-5 and beat UF, Bama and Tamu? Would that be a successful season? Record is NOT the most important stat you look at a complete overhaul at the end of a season. The team had about 40 or so roster players left at the end of December. Do you know how few that is?

I know one thing that concerned me in the spring was getting gashed in the run game. I worry about the middle of the defense besides dt. Plus converse was hurt for spring

Every team we play can make themselves feel good by talking there team up on a micro level. I’ve done it every year and I’m tempering expectations this year

I care about beating who you’re supposed to beat and competing against rosters that are equivalent. There aren’t many rosters in the SEC that have the talent we have. If we beat UF, aTm and Bama but lose to 4-5 other schools the. I’d be scratching my head because that makes no sense. You’re saying we could beat 2, top 10 elite rosters but lose 4-5 other games???? Hmmm. I could see upsetting one but not beating both and still losing to far lesser rosters.

While you’re at it, let’s just say this. “Would it be unsuccessful if we won the SEC but lost to everyone in the East and nonconference.” If we are just going to make up ridiculous stuff.
