It sickens me to see fans, especially LSU fans, try to justify leaving a team like FSU out of the playoffs. There is no justification. They earned their spot, especially through adversity. Nor should they be penalized, because TCU sucked in the championship against a far superior Georgia team. They aren't TCU. Also, TCU beat Michigan in the playoffs.
And lastly, everybody is beatable this year. Everybody is flawed. There is no Georgia of last year. Not even close. More reason why FSU deserves to be in there. The SEC was not as impressive this season.
To leave this FSU team out after all they accomplished would be the biggest crime the committee ever committed. I'm so sick of hearing from people the idea of "best" teams when everybody has flaws this season. You can't go on assumptions. Some of these people need to get real.

FSU absolutely deserves to be in along with Washington and Michigan.

I agree that there is disparity in schedule strength. FSU came within a whisker of losing to Boston College, and Clemson. Close game with Miami.
However, they did have a head to head SEC matchup. That I won’t mention.

I’m tired of the TCU argument. They don’t belong in that group.
TCU beat a very good Michigan team in the semis then joined a very long list of programs that got their asses kicked in the finals.
The list of teams who’ve Ben skull drug in the playoff/ BCSCG includes but isn’t limited to:
Florida State
Oklahoma
Clemson
Michigan
Ohio State
Josh Pate had a graphic the other day showing how the majority of playoff games have been blowouts. Y’all are gas lighting to affirm your bias

For everyone that keeps saying FSU should be in, y'all are delusional if you watched FSU play last night and REMOTELY think they're better than Bama! SEC champ should NOT be left out. FSU will be blown out unless they play another offensively-challenged team, maybe Michigan.
If the goal of the committee is to put the 4 BEST teams in the playoffs, FSU isn't currently 1 of them. It sucks their star QB got injured and is out for the season but it most definitely changes the dynamic of that team. Even if you didn't watch L'ville lose to Kentucky, did you see how horrible that team was offensively last night? FSU best win was beating LSU, a team that ended up with 3 losses. Next best win, L'ville who lost to Kentucky. Next best win, Duke who lost 4 of their last 6 games on the season.
The fact of the matter is FSU didn't really beat anybody. And now with a backup QB, that isn't very good, we supposed to think they're 1 of the 4 best teams in CFB?
GTFOH! I've watched FSU play w/o JT and outside of North Alabama, they've been absolutely trash!

FSU won every game in front of them, Bama lost to Texas.
Texas should be in before Alabama.

You nailed it.
The whole “best teams” argument over “deserving teams” is pure trash to allow corruption.
Why even play games if the games actually played don’t matter.
Texas beat Alabama head to head at Alabama by 10. This matters.
Florida State had 2, not 1, but 2 SEC schools on their non con schedule and beat them both going 13-0. That matters.
Florida State and Texas earned the right to be in the playoffs. Period.

Every time some team wins a shitty conference they've made the same argument.
But FSU beat the shite out of the previous season SEC West champ, a team that went 9-2 sans the FSU game.

Both teams are deserving....it's too bad one will have to sit this one out

Penalizing a team for injuries is stupid. You inherently start comparing that team against itself, rather than the other teams.
An undefeated conference champion, that has won national championships should not be left out of the playoffs

Do people really not realize how stupid of an argument this is? No matter who you put in two playoff teams are going to lose to other playoff teams.
Agreed. And I don’t know the hell you drop a team bc someone got injured and yet they continue to win but you’re gonna drop them bc you don’t THINK they can win against the other teams ??
Seems pretty ridiculous

I’m not convinced that that FSU without Jordan Travis is a better team than BAMA, UGA, Texas, or even Ohio State. That being said, I couldn’t care less about who they select for the CFP this year.

Did you watch Bama the week before pull out a miracle to beat a terrible Auburn team that got boat raced by New Mexico St. ? And lost, at home, by double digits to Texas?
They don’t deserve to be there over an undefeated conference champ.

They're not beating a playoff team with EITHER of their QB's not named Jordan Travis.
Neither is Wershington, but they deserve to be there.
LSU would probably be a favorite over Wershington.

Your “shitty” ACC in fact was better than the SEC this year in head to head matchups…
FSU over LSU
NC over SC
Miami over A&M
Clemson over SC
An exception…KY over Louisville

They went out of their own conference and scheduled us. Do you remember how that turned out?!

You all seem to forget that an ACC Team has appeared in the playoffs 7 times, advancing to the Championship game 3 times and winning 2 of them.

Take Michigan and Washington out too then. Let’s put Bama, UGA, Ole Miss and Texas in.
