This should come as a lesson to everyone. When 1/2 dozen juniors regarded as 1st/2nd round picks all decide to return to a middle tier ACC team, shenanigans are very likely.

has there ever been anything else like this? Its not just losing starters, which sucks, but the guys who will be playing are really only ready to play a few snaps a game.. when those guys get winded, cramps, injured, UNC will be putting 3rd string guys on the field vs LSU's veterans.. its gonna get ugly..

it has nothing to do with confidence
my point is, we were set to get a real test against real talent right out the gate. questions were going to be answered one way or another and there was not going to be any false confidence developed like last year. we were going to get a pretty good indication of how good this team will be in 2010 in game 1. win or lose, we were going to get better by playing strong competition and a win would have greatly helped any NC case we would have down the road
now...doesnt look like any of that will be the case, and it's disappointing...im happy we pretty much have an automatic W now, and i'll take it, but there will still be a little guarded optimism
