Not even close.

Their defense as a whole is pretty shitty right now.

then why are they ranked 14th nationally in rushing defense? they only give up 15 more yards per game than we do.

Take a look at the schedules..

LSU has played mostly running teams.

The creampuffs AU played had to throw the ball to stay in the game.

Ark State threw 42 times

MSU only ran 17 times

Clemson ran all over them

ULM only 11 runs

UK 20 runs

Only real games where teams ran at them was Clemson,USC they failed to stop one Clemson runner who got 140 yards on them and they did good against USC.

The stats are skewed due to teams not even trying to run for the most part.

It is that obvious to the entire nation that Les Miles continues to start the wrong QB.

Miles says, "The two QB system is working." I say the offense would be even better with #12 getting most of the snaps.

Miles says, "#12 is comfortable coming off of the bench." I say that's a cop out. I say until you start #12 this season you don't really know if that is correct or not. What if #34 didn't start the game against McNeese, and he came in on the 3rd drive of the game and ran for 100 yards in the game. Would you say that #34 was successful because he sat out the first two drives?

good points...

They only give up a half yard per rush more than we do, which is still top 20 nationally, and they have one more rushing attempt against them than we do.

everything looks equal aside from their opponents.

their easier schedule is the only evidence to support your claim, and that they gave up 187 to clemson.

Just because they are good against inferior teams, doest mean they will be bad against good teams.

Agreed....I feel good about the situation as is. Let the kid get a couple more pressure situations in before we make the change.

Nah, what's hypocritical is your attack of his opinion by use of your own...as if your opinion is somehow better.

No, I have no opinion except to defer to the opinion of the experts - at least until they fail.

I didn't so much attack his opinion as much as question why I should consider it valid.

To this point I have no idea why his opinion on how Miles should run the team is more valid than Miles' opinion.

Poster says, "that's how I think it should be"

I reply, "why is how you think it should be more valid than how Coach thinks it should be?"

Poster, "Move to China."

Me, "frick you."

You, "Yeah, move to China."

Me, "frick you too."

Clear yet?

None of yall know anything. I trust miles and his 6-0 record. I never though lee was comfortable as a starter. He has never proven that. But he is good in pressure situations and leading the 2 minute drill. I think the coaching staff should have been playing him more, but not much more. They are slowly bringing him along and building his confidnce. The coaching staff is doingthe rt thing. Don't forgot our same amazing fans tried to run lee out of town.

I want to see him start this game to see if he has it. But I onow what happened last time he started. He went 7-22. Most games that jl shined in and we won he was not the starter.

FIFY

Good luck trying to defend Miles to every poster who thinks he should do something differently.

I bet if i searched the archives, i could probably find instances where youvw stated you would like to see him do something different as well.

so, unless youve agreed 100% with 100% of everything Miles has ever said or done, you need to

I would love to know how the 2 qb system is "working". Cause I see one guy who produces, and one guy who doesnt.

If LSU is a 2 QB team, I don't understand the hysteria over who starts. I'm more concerned in who's finishing which in the last 2 games has been Lee.

And we've had to come from behind in both games on the last drive

I think that's what frustrates people. Maybe we wouldn't be playing catch up if we had the best QB on the field for the entire game.

have any of your ranters broke the stats down for last two games?

what were the running game numbers with JL on the field? carries/yds/avg etc

what are they with JJ?

My thought is if you put JL on the field TOO much, the running game will disappear. This TEAMS best chance of winning week to week is....run the ball alot, let the defense/special teams win field position, make big plays in the pass game when needed.

so I got no issue with JJ starting and JL coming off the bench for 2-3 series a half as needed. Isn't the goal to win the game? Or is it to gain as many yards as possible? just saying

The goal is to win the game and not wait till the last second to do it, saving your fans from high blood pressure and heart stress.

would anyone be complaining if lee did play against mcneese?
i can imagine someone starting a thread about playing our best qb and risking injury against a team like mcneese.
