re: No more SEC on CBS?

Do people realize that if ESPN gets the right the marquee game of the week it will just move from CBS to ABC. No way they will pay that much and stick the games on an ESPN channel.

Awesome, no more 4 hr games!,

ABC video quality compared to CBS is horrible IMO, I like to hate on Gary and 4 hour games but I also don’t like change. Team CBS for me.

I read previously that the SEC was seeking 4 times as much as the current CBS contract. Crazy money.

It’s all fun and games until we get stuck with the 11 AM Fox game of the week

The only thing that makes me sad. I can still hear the theme music in my head from when I was kid watching LSU play Ole Miss in 2003.

But the article also states this. Hope Disney buys them out.

Only some weeks unless the SEC demands we get one ABC slot per week. We’d be sharing the ABC slots with 4 other major conferences AND G5 schools who they also sometimes showcase compared to the guaranteed one we have now. I hate the CBS broadcast for all the reasons stated above but it’s benefit is we are guaranteed an OTA game ever week in a window that gets good viewership.
