I couldn't find any info. Yesterday it was stated the appeal was to be heard but I've not seen anything anywhere. Anyone know anything, yet?

Yes he’s eligible but no one has gotten around to starting a thread on it yet

I saw tweets earlier this week that a ruling was expected either yesterday or today, but the feeling of optimism dropped considerably yesterday for whatever reason.

Were there 1-3 threads last night that were whacked by admins?

If so, then I'd say things are looking good.

They hoped for an answer today. They didn’t expect it. The NCAA doesn’t care.

The NCAA did not clear LSU running back John Emery to play against Mississippi State, his attorney Don Jackson told
@theadvocatebr

.

Jackson said the NCAA has requested additional information, which will be provided Monday. He’s optimistic “that will close all remaining issues.”

Here is the article that just posted to The Advocate:

LINK

quote:

LSU running back John Emery Jr. won’t play this weekend against
Mississippi State as his case remains ongoing after the NCAA
requested additional information, his attorney Don Jackson said.

Jackson had expected a final decision before LSU played the
Southeastern Conference opener, but he said the NCAA asked
for clarification Friday afternoon on a plan designed to keep
Emery in good academic standing.

“It’s unfortunate that it’s lingering for another week,” Jackson
said, “but I’m optimistic this will resolve all issues.”

Jackson said he, LSU and Emery’s family will work together over
the weekend and submit the requested information Monday. He
hopes then the NCAA will reinstate Emery in time for him to play
next weekend against Auburn.

I can’t imagine they are requesting more information to deny his waiver.

Yeah, that's basically what his lawyer said.

The man knows the NCAA and it seems highly likely Emery will be cleared soon. Just not this weekend.
