Yeah because screw free education and the incomparable experience of bigtime college sports
I’d be interested in seeing how opinions on this issue correlate with age.

exactly right, he could have a season ending injury in the middle of the season. would have the same effect on the NFL career. he should play.

This would be a gigantic no-chest move and fans should absolutely blame him. Quitting on his team in our first NY6 game since the playoff started.
I’m a huge fan of Greedy and hope this isn’t true. But if it is, for any player, frick DEM

No bowl game for Greedy Williams?
Since the SEC is all about making money without fairplay, more power to him for protecting his arse-et.
LSU has consistently placed more players on NFL active rosters than any other college program.
After this season's officiating, we now know why such a talent rich school has not won more games and National Championships.

We'll see lots of posters saying it's just an exhibition, a meaningless game, but they will jump all over the coaches for the next nine months if LSU loses.
If he elects to skip the game, he has the right to do so I suppose, but I wouldn't be happy if I were bis teammates. I guess he feels he's more important than the rest of them. Chase and Marshall should refuse to play, then. And Devin White. Delpit needs to sit. Heck, just cancel the game.

Sounds like you are being selfish for your own reasons just like he is. Bowls are pointless. Need a large playoff that matters, not these bs bowls.

Well, shite....just skip the last half of the year then..what does any of it matter? Go get your money, sweetheart.
I love this generation...
I heard a WWL talk thread the other day about how the All-Star's from College would play an NFL team every year post season up until 1974, I think. How many of these all about me pussies would even attempt that nowadays...soft is soft.

Devin White will be picked around the same pick as greedy and I know he won’t be sitting out. His position has a greater risk of injury too. I won’t ever knock a player for looking out for their future, but I can’t get behind leaving your teammates high and dry, especially when you’ve worked your arse off with them for three years.

He was always the most likely to sit out. Definitely hate the trend but it’s his future. I’d personally want one last ride with my brothers.

And that's stupid for all players involved.

None, and their teams wouldn't let them.

Why is the Fiesta Bowl any more meaningless than our games against Arkansas, Rice and A&M? Because we had a 1% chance of getting the opportunity to get our skulls caved in by Alabama again? Why not just pack up shop as soon as it's unlikely we make the playoffs? Why not just sit out the whole season?

Then there should be no complaints if we lose, then, right?
This mindset is dumb. How is the bowl game any more pointless than the Rice game? Or the Arkansas game? Or any other game for that matter?

So, who provides the food and housing between this decision and the draft? Honest question.

Can I take back my vote for the defensive player award?

Not in a meaningless bowl.
If it’s a meaningless bowl then why do you asshats have nervous breakdowns about which one LSU is going to play in?
If you don’t care and it’s “meaningless “ then why should it matter to the players ??
