I can’t get behind guys sitting out. I totally agree it’s in their best interest, but you owe it to your coaches and teammates to play out the entire season, bowl game included.

While the game is a meaningless non playoff bowl game, I get it, but don’t like it as a fan of LSU.

Is this from one guy saying a source told him that?

Bowl games are NOT meaningless. He can sit out if he wants but don’t call NY6 games meaningless

Make the playoffs and he would play. Business decision. I don't hold it against him. Gotsta be Greedy.

How many players sat out during Les Miles era? Patrick Peterson Played. Odell Played. Jermey Hill played. Yet when Coach O get in, Lenoard Fournette sits out. Greedy sits out....

We now know whos' the better coach. When you build a good atmosphere, you get players who would run through walls for you.

First of all, we haven't heard from Greedy, so we don't know his decision.

I'm an LSU fan first and foremost. I pull for the guys who wear the purple & gold and take the field for LSU each week.

If we have a guy who's scared to play in game, pat him on the back and send him on his way. He doesn't need to be around the team. It would honestly surprise me if Greedy is that guy. He seems too competitive to just quit.

He should get some sort of insurance policy.

All first round picks should.

Idk all the legal stuff behind it, but I fully support the idea. All projected first rounders should have some sort of insurance policy.

I imagine if it was the playoffs he would play, but it makes my point about bowl games outside of the playoffs. Even an NY6 bowl game is really just another bowl game to some people.

I don't think kids take O serious as a head coach. They come here to get to next level and maybe win 10 games along the way. These kids know that by playing for LSU they have a good shot at the league.

His teammates probably encourage it. They understand it’s a business. Fans are selfish .

Real question is why do we have 6 page thread on an substantiated rumor that has potential for a player to get bashed?

Yes but wait till the damn bowl game selection to announce!! You don’t think LSU not having some of its best players might affect who someone like the Fiesta May choose? They still have a say so right?

Has anybody at all confirmed this?

If not, I can't believe this thread has lasted. It's also created a whirwind of 10 other threads of people giving their thoughts, instead of putting them here.

It’s about the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.

Agreed...see the former ND linebacker currently with Dallas. Jaylen Smith (spelling may be wrong). Would have been a top 10 pick, blew out knee against OSU and lost millions. If it isn’t for a championship, it just isn’t worth it for these guys who are top 10 pick material.

Agree. Jaylen really just got ack to normal this year from that injury. If I’m not mistaken doesn’t greedy have a child. If so he has to take the money as the best CB coming out nd not risk further injury.

If this whole situation actually happened there would be more leaks than just one bit on the radio. There’s absolutely nothing on any social media about this.

It’s fake.
