This is getting the Peach Bowl in Saban’s first year. This is step one on a total 180 transformation, starting first on the court and followed by an all-timer recruiting class. Just like the Peach Bowl was followed up by the GOAT 01 recruiting class.
Comparisons to expectations for elite basketball programs and our football and baseball programs, which are elite, are just stupid.

Last season we won 2 conference games and were legitimately one of the worst teams in the nation.
The year before that, our coach and star freshman refused to play in the NIT like the cowards they were.
You don't see that the fact that we're going to play and take it very seriously makes this season a huge step in the right direction?

If this was the LSU football team a year after Curley left then yes, we would be thrilled like we were going to the Indy Bowl and beating little Nicky in '95. That would be a very good analogy. But if you are referencing present time, not nearly as good of an analogy. Dare I say poor?

Yea. I said in October i was hoping this year would be similar to that. Clear signs of progress.

Culture change was the most important thing and that has clearly taken place. It will be interesting to see if WW can command the respect enough to manage the egos of the talent coming in. I think he can and will. Time will tell.
