I gotta think if there was a game for Priester to catch this would be it. Guess he hasn't earned much trust behind the dish

This will be the 4th straight game against a pitching coach who was an off-field assistant of Jay Johnson.

No, because you're ignoring or ignorant to the fact he was stretched out in the fall and was slated to start last weeks game at Nicholls per CJJ
Jay said Guidry would've pitched against Nicholls, he didn't say anything about him starting. You're hearing/reading things that weren't said.
Why wouldn't you stretch a college pitcher out in the offseason? What can it hurt? Every pitcher on the staff wants to be a starter, there's no reason to kill a kid's confidence by telling him what he will and won't be months before the start of the season.
The simple fact is, there are about 7-8 pitchers on this staff who are better than Guidry. This isn't Mainieri's pitching staff anymore.
With that said, I hope he can continue to be formidable at the back of the game, which he has proven thus far to be.

I think the lineup will be fluid for several weeks. Lot of new faces and CJJ will experiment a lot.

I need some new GIFsfor this season, most of my others are no longer relevant. But I will still be here

ETA:
Maybe this one for when Milam starts going yard.

Probably not for this week. Probably see it narrowed down for the competition unless one is a blowout.

Braswell should definitely keep his spot this year, but to your point Guidry has only started once and has no reason to start this year
