Yea, that was cool. Cannon was Bo Jackson before Bo Jackson. Freak athlete.

It was and it was very well done. I had chill bumps and something must have gotten my eyes, kept watering.

It will make its way out eventually. I’ll be on the lookout and post it here if I find it.

I didn’t realize Ole Miss punted on third down for Cannon’s run.

Why would a team do that back in the 50s?

Heck Ole Miss actually punted on first down a couple of times in that game. LSU's offense was so inept and fumble-prone back then that the Rebels kept advancing field position by putting the game in the hands of their defense.

And y'all think Coach Emzinger was bad! I have no idea who the OC at LSU was back then, but I can only visualise what the Rant looked like the evening of the Tiger Sugar Bowl loss to Ole Miss (21-0) on Jan. 1, 1960.

Maybe not fumble prone anymore, but Jesus, I had no idea we've always been inept on offense.

I didn’t realize before that Cannon played in the same backfield with Jimmy Taylor in 1957. Mind-boggling talent!

If you go to Watch ESPN and go to replay it is there. Start at the 35 min mark.

I will never forget that moment...

It wasn't a matter of LSU being a bad offensive team. The Ole Miss defense gave up only 14 points the entire year.
