Baker also got 2 critical stops just before with the offense fumbling in the redzone
You're correct with LSU fumbling in UK territory. However, the drive before wasn't a "critical stop". UK drove 51 yards. They just missed the would be game tying FG from the LSU 18.

4 straight critical stops is a lot to ask of anyone.
We've lost by a total of 9 points, on the road... against 2 coaching staffs that have intimate knowledge of our schemes and operations...
The same script has played out in two straight road games. The defense struggles in the first half. It makes adjustments to have a dominant 3Q, but then cannot get the critical 4Q stop to secure victory.
LSU's offense was rolling in the second half at Ole Miss. With the score tied at 24-24, if LSU gets one 4Q stop defensively it is likely LSU can get the go ahead score. Instead, Baker goes soft and OM scores what would be the GW TD.
Same thing happened at UK. LSU put the game in Baker's hands 3x to close out victory and he could not get it done. Once at the end of regulation. Again in the 1st OT. And again on the 2 point attempt. A stop in ANY one of those situations ends the game. He and his defense could not do it.
Is that the ONLY reason LSU lost both games? No. The offense and special teams could have played better too. But despite all of the flaws, in both games you gave the game to your defense looking for one critical 4Q stop and it could not deliver. Baker is not a bad DC by any means. But it is clear at this point LSU can't leave the game in his hands late.

Be another day closer to baseball season. Kentucky loss pretty well ended the season for me.

90+% of the bets are on lsu. This has all the makings of coming out flat, Taylor 2 quick TDs and Vegas makes a killing on MSU holding on in TS for a close but huge victory.
Do you have some inside information saying Kamario is going to play? His availability is going to shift the line once the final report comes out Tomorrow.
LSU -14.5 right now seems iffy without knowing for sure. If he's out, I'm taking LSU with that spread.

Zero chance we lose Saturday. Tighten up

If LSU loses Saturday it will be catastrophic because then Kiffin will have a huge challenge even getting guys to play. Once players know no playoffs are on the cards they quit. This is the downside of spending big money these players expect to go the distance and when it's not going their way, players simply quit and look to their agents where they'll be transferring to next year.

To be completely honest a ton of ppl will say we are fine. It’s Lanes 1st year.
I am over critical and everyone should be. Considering what we were dealt the last few years or since Orgeron was fired.

The crazy thing is last year Ole Miss went for on 4th and 3 to run out the clock against LSU. Granite LSU would have had to go score a touchdown in under 2 minutes instead of a field goal. But he had that type of gumption against us, wish he would have has it for us last week.

LSU hasn't made the playoff since before covid.
The excuses are beyond old.

gotta lose games in october to get to 7-5...

Creating imaginary negative scenarios of doom and gloom. Talk about a huge waste of time and energy. Even if it happens, you added additional negative thinking on top of the negativity related to a future loss. Guess you could then switch focus to how bad it will be if they lose the following week to Auburn also.

I think this team beats MSU and Auburn (in a nail biter, frankly), and then loses 3 or 4 games in November.
