But he will get absolutely destroyed with his running style in the NFL, the way he takes hits. He wont last, look at past qbs with his build and style.
He still needs to develop tthrowing to spots or throwing his receivers open. He made leaps and bounds from his 1st yr to his 2nd at lsu but still struggled especially in the games we lost.
I dont see that IT factor in him!

2022 Jayden sure, but did you not watch last season at all? He took a massive leap forward in every skill you just criticized.

JD is going to get his “welcome to the NFL” moment in Week 1 then he will either adapt or crumble like every other top QB pick in history. He definitely needs to change his approach to running the ball. He has zero shiftiness and will have a very short career taking hits like he did in college.

He wins a batty if the defense is marginal....

IMO, he was the most improved QB I have ever experienced..... all my days.....at any level.

Dude was putting up video game numbers most games. The only game he struggled in was the 2nd half vs Florida State. Other 2 losses were Ole Miss (scored 49 and lost because the defense was historically bad) and Alabama. But his stat line in Alabama wasn’t exactly struggling. 382 total yards with 3 total TDs and one pick. LSU put up the most points against Bama’s defense that anyone scored all season (and did it in Tuscaloosa)

You didn't watch a lot of games this past season, did you?

And the IT factor doesn't mean shite once every NFL team has film on you but if any player had it this past season in the college ranks, it was him. I just don't understand some of you people. LSU is literally a 5 or 6 win team this year without JD under center. How much more IT does a guy need to have?

A game he got knocked off on a questionable head shot...a game had a legit shot of winning until he left the field.

They may be thinking about what Doug Williams did in the SB win. I hope he does well but everyone in the NFL is fast and much bigger.....one smash from a DL or LB may be it.

The big thing I see about JD compared to the other top QB's is that he is still improving where almost all of the other QB's have leveled off for the most part. Caleb Williams has been really good since day 1, but really hasn't gotten better, JD had major jumps in both years at LSU

I think it's more of the combination of Jayden, Dan Quinn, Kliff Kingsbury and Brian Johnson. Plus a change in the OL. We will see once the season starts.

JD5 with the Chiefs OL would be scary.

JD5 with the Commanders OL, not so much.

Over/Under on how many games before he gets destroyed by an NFL DL or LB.

It's going to happen quickly too.

Promise you NFL players are not scared to death.
considering they are mostly testosterone filled 20 and 30 year olds jacked on adrenaline, likely not. A 50 or 60 year old who has to maintain a whole unit and have to scheme against a guy like that, it has to be a nightmare. Who do you even use as a scout team QB?

This is not a QB where you beat him by forcing him to pass. He will eat you alive with touch on deep passes and accurate 10-15 yarders.

They’re not afraid of a guy named Jayden, Javarius, Quantavious or Robert Griffen. They’re afraid of a guy who watches film religiously, processes information like a computer and has the balls to lead a team into Kansas City or Buffalo in November and come out with a win. Guys like Daniels that rely on their athletic ability too much do well for a year or two.
I already know what this post implies, but im not going to even acknowledge the ignorance behind it. You can stay ignorant until you're rotting in the grave.

Once D coordinators figure out their Schlick, they have nothing else except athleticism to fall back on which exposes them to career shortening hits. The NFL isn’t college
Oh you mean like how they figured out Lamar Jackson's shtick? The man who played his 6th year last season and was awarded his 2nd MVP, and was a TD away from being in the Super Bowl? You mean that type of shtick?

I remember last season when guys like you wanted to use the legs of Josh Allen to propel him to an MVP season over Jackson, when for years you had been calling Jackson a running back. Yeah i didn't know RBs can throw for 36 TDs to 6 int. I didn't know RBs could throw for 3700 yards at 8 yards per attempt in the NFL, completing 67% of their passes. Those RBs who only know how to run are crazy right? Those guys that rush for 1200 yards and 7 TDs while also throwing 36 TD passes. Those RBs that run for 820 yards and 5 TDs, while throwing for 3700 yards sure are something huh?

You know what does sound like something a RB would do? Throw 18 interceptions. Yeah i could easily see a RB in his 6th year run for 530 yards and 15 TDs while throwing 18 ints. Yep, i could definitely see that...

You know what great RB i do remember? Randall Cunningham. You remember that all time running back Randall Cunningham right? Remember when he lost his step? Remember when the injuries took his gifted legs? I remember him still having an MVP season. I remember that RB that played 14 games but threw for 3700 yards with 34 TDs to 10 ints.

I also remember a famous RB named Doug Williams? You remember him? Born in Louisiana, went to Grambling St, played and accomplished very little most of his career, however, one faithful season, he was called upon to do the impossible. This running back went 3-2 in the games he played during that regular season, but it was enough to make the playoffs. At this point in time, the running back didn't have his legs anymore. So he had to throw. I know, pretty crazy for a guy who all he could do was run, right? Do you know that RB made it to the playoffs and won 3 straight games including the super bowl, throwing the ball?!?!?! You would have thought he was figured out and didn't know how to throw or process information. He never studied his books according to you. You know it's crazy that that running back threw for 340 yards and 4 TDs in the super bowl, crushing the other team 42-10. In the 8 games he played that season, that RB threw for 18 TDs to 7 int. Over a 16 game season that's something like 3600 yards passing 36 TDs to 14 ints.

Anyway, to sum it up, don't be a dickhead and dumb all your life.

I know he has to change himself not taking big hits, but let's not act like the guy is going to get popped just because he did last season. I don't remember 2022 him getting popped like that. Many of his big hits at LSU came from him being off balance or doing some crazy stuff in the air. As long as he just runs regular and pays attention, he'll be alright.

i disagree a million percent here. He may not have the agility of Lamar Jackson, but he has made ton of guys, NFL level guys, look stupid.

This Washington team is far beyond last season. New Coach, new General Manager, not many from the previous staff.
They hit the Free Agent market as hard as anyone. Signing 20, of that number, 13 signing one year deals, and no deal longer than 3 years.

Kliff Kingsbury was brought in as the OC, the guy can get his QB to put up numbers. A perfect fit for Jayden. Kingsbury runs high octane, shots down the field, spread the field, and up tempo.

A new OL coach, only two players from last years starters return. They drafted one OL and picked up 3 in FA.

Washington upgraded its WR and TE groups, this too will help Jayden.

4 wins last season, the same division as the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants. We'll see Jayden and Malik Nabers (NY Giants) the second game of the season Sept. 15th. That game should show how big a step each team made.
