The biggest issues with JJ at the next level will be his accuracy and slow release.

In case any of you were wondering, We've run the Pro Formation almost half of the time this year as an offense.

When JJ is in the game, we run Spread almost 65% of the time. That's based on personnel, folks. He ain't the under-center classic NFL-prototype, & never will be. He has struggles with full-field reads, & actually struggles with multi-keyed reads, & this isn't news to anyone in the SEC or the game of Professional football, either.

You're a rantard according to the OP...lol

No way will JJ make it as a passer in the NFL, but his size and agility can translate to a number of positions, particularly safety.

Hilarious faux pas! Indeed, it sometimes seemed that he stared for 2 1/2 years!

We run spread with him in to utilize one of strengths, not because he is incapable of running a pro-style offense. He's taken plenty of snaps under center.

He has improved dramastically with his reads this year and it was really evident in the arkansas and ole miss games. Also you could say this about 99% of QBs taken in the 5th round or later out of college. Hell it was one of the question marks on Cam Newton last year.

I'm not sure I said he's incapable of running a pro-style offense. So I'm not sure what you're on about there, though I'll say that he's proven to have a whale of a time running an offense out of a primarily pro-formation set efficiently.

Which is what he'd be asked to do in the NFL.

He's no Cam Newton, nor is he Tim Tebow. Those are the only two cats that are taking snaps in the Spread for zone-reads & sprint-options in the NFL right now.

*Disclaimer-MANY NFL QB's take snaps in the shotgun in a spread formation to PASS the ball. But JJ ain't about to take over an offense akin to Rodgers, Brady, or your boy Breesus.

Watch Belichek draft him as a project behind Brady and turn him into a viable back-up and have the op to start when Brady retires.

Belichek would need to rip JJ's right arm off and replace it.....JJ would also need brain surgery done so he could read defenses but if this is done he has a possible future in the NFL!!!!!!

Lots of bashing going on here, but I sure remember Chris Mortensen, Jesse Palmer, and Peyton Manning giving JJ glowing reviews at the Manning Camp last July, all saying he was the most impressive QB there not named Andrew Luck.

He'll get some kind of shot in the NFL, even if he gets stashed on a practice squad for a while.

And remember that most scouts focus on the physical aspects of a player more than his mechanics.

Coaches will overlook mechanics because they think they can coach/mold any player into what they want them to be. Most coaches are cocky this way.

His combine success or lack there of will have more of an effect on where he goes than his defense-reading skills.

Link?!?

I think the OP is lumping all "draft experts" in with the one guy (linked yesterday on the Rant) that thinks JJ will get drafted.

That "guy" also stated Lavar Edwards was our best pro prospect on the team.
