Take a look at the draft history of nfl teams at the Q.B. position.
I'am sure they have some on the list that didn't have a chance from a FAN'S point of view to get drafted !

I offered a pretty realistic evaluation of him, talking about his strengths and weaknesses.

It's not as if I'm you, simply stumping for the guy at every waking moment, despite any logic.

are you saying Lee doesn't have the arm for these throws?

Pump the brakes. Can you clarify?

only way he makes it as a pro QB imo.

That's exactly how Tebow is making it right now.

Lee can make all the throws, as long as he doesn't get pressured. Give him time and he can hit any receiver.

Watch the throws he makes against Arkansas, deep outs, slants, throwing on the run. He has an NFL caliber arm. And there are plenty of teams that take shots on late round QBs that have shown a lot less than Jefferson.

People don't take this type of thing into consideration enough.

There is notable difference between what we asked Lee to do/throw than what we ask JJ to do throw. It's not a slight on Lee either, it's just being realistic about his abilities. He can't make those type of throws... he doesn't have the arm for it.

JJ nailed randle from the opposite hash on a deep out last week. That throw by itself is enough to get scouts to take a look at him.

I've never "stumped" for any player.
As much as you want to think I dislike JJ fact is I don't.
Contrary to what you and a few others believe, its oK to prefer on player over another.
Doesn't make you a "hater"

Jefferson is light years better than tebow right now.

His throwing is miles ahead of Tebow. Anyone that doesn't see this is blind. While not perfect, his release is lightening quick compared to TT. He also has a stronger arm, and is more accurate. He isn't nearly the "leader" Tebow is, but that doesn't always mean a ton in professional ball.

Wow. You are delusional. Almost everyone on here knows you because you hate JJ and suck Lee's dick every chance you get.

I find it funny how miserable you've been since JJ came back and started threatening for the starting job.

Pro's:
-6-5, 223, 4.65 speed
-strong arm
-decent accuracy on deep passes
-can run for his life & move the chains
-23-7 winning record as an LSU starter
-has never thrown a pick six

Cons:
-Enlongated over-the-head throwing motion
-ball placement stinks on mid-range passes; throws too high or low & away on short passes/screens
-mobile, but not a true scrambler with elusiveness
-runs for his life because he locks on one WR & has never looked off a safety in his career
-runs into the D-linemen chasing him at the edge of the pocket
-does not look down-field when running for his life; looks at the D-Lineman or LB blitzing
-still has trouble taking snaps after 4 years of college ball
-ball security issues
-no time-clock in his head for releasing the ball
-no time-clock awareness under two minutes of a game; looks to sidelines; then looks at plays on wrist just to spike

Projected round: UDFA

To throw deep outs? Yes.

Lee has an okay arm, but he doesn't put a lot of zip on his passes.

He's a much better touch passer than Jefferson, though.

I've never once used that language. You are the one accusing me of being some huge JJ fan, when everyone on this site knows how unabashedly you rep for Lee.

I could see a team drafting him though because all of the pros you listed are not teachable. And most of the cons you listed are. I could see a team taking a chance on him and try to develop him at least into a back up. If not I'm sure he'll have a job on a practice squad.

Way to focus on the small details for the cons and not the pros.

But I can't say I disagree with your list completely. I just think you are wrong if you think he won't be drafted in the NFL.

A lot of those "Cons" look like they came from last year. His clock management and accuracy have improved a bit this year. The other thing about his cons is that they are all things that can be corrected. Look at the first 4 "Pros" and you can see why a team would take a chance on him. I think Jason Campbell is a very good comparison.

Has he ever throw a deep out? I'm not sure they've ever asked him too.

Lee's arm strength is exaggerated on this board a lot, IMO.

I'm not trying to demean him. I consider equal to saying "Kenny Hilliard doesn't run a 4.4." It's just being realistic IMO.
