So all you people who are hoping O is gone after next year need to prepare yourselves.
As much as I didn’t want Ensminger, he won’t be that bad. He didn’t do that bad filling in. LSU will be 8-4 or 7-5 and O will get his 3rd year of his contract.
My concerns are the impact the downhill slide has on the 2019 recruiting class

I think Aranda and the defense will hold it down as best can be done

If the offense isn't versatile and can't score much, this can end very badly

8-4 or 7-5 is that bad, man.

that means 4-4 or 3-5 in the SEC.

I still say it depends more on qb play than SE.

Lucky for us, Ensminger is world-renowned developer of quarterbacks.

We are losing some key players 9top backs, receivers, Lacouture, Key, DBs) and breaking in a brand new quarterback.

On top of that, we are playing:

Miami
Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Mississippi State
Auburn

8-4 should be expected, 9-3 celebrated.

It took 3 years of .500 records for Texas to fail to sign a single top 10 player from in state.. That was the first time that happened in 15+ years.
Obviously Herman turned that around and has them at like #3 this year.

The bad news out of this (taking into account Alleva's situation) is that 8-4 is not going to prompt change. Nor will 7-5.
Tennessee didn't revolt until they lost all of their SEC games (after 10 years of mediocrity).
Texas didn't make a change worth a damn until they had become a huge embarrassment 4 years in a row.

The good news is. With the right hire, it can be turned around very quickly.

The bad news is.. We won't make a good hire with the current administration.

Hahahaha
To anyone who thinks O would be fired by the current BOS and powers that be with an 8-4 record.
Clearly these twats don’t care about winning at an elite level so why in the hell wouldn’t 8-4 be good enough for them?

Depends on how well MB plays. If he turns out to be yet another average to above-average QB such as we've been getting the last few years, next season could truly be ugly. The schedule is pretty brutal.

Unfortunately, nah. He'll get one more year to turn it around if he manages to go 8-4, imho.

UT Knoxville fired their AD for a coaching search.

A search. One. Not a hire, not waiting for a bad record..one.fricking.search.

You damn well best believe after this year’s failure and continued embarrassment of LSU, ED and Joe will be out on their asses with 8-4 this year.

I have always been an optimist before the season every year. While I usually think the team can win at least 10 games every year, I’m feeling more like 7 or 8 if more comes together. That isn’t good at all. The schedule sets up like Miles 2011 schedule where he went 13-0. Let’s see how O does.
