Ali Gaye, Ed Ingram Jabril Cox are the only other 3 I see with a decision to make.

Cox is already 22 and could have been a 1st round last year whose stock plummeted coming here.

i can't see him staying ANOTHER year to potentially fall to UDFA

Gilbert is a freshman- can’t leave
I’ll bet Gaye stays also - he’s a late round pick right now but another year could be 1st or 2nd round

TLDR: this is going to take time, trust the process and let’s Geaux tigers

So serious question...how do programs create consistency? Ideally I would like to see LSU in contention (top 5) every year and not have the peaks and valleys. How do programs maintain a level of consistency year in and year out and not have to rebuild for 2-3 years after a great season?

Gaye has shown nothing draftable.

Gaye's measurables and projectability alone make him draftable. He would likely have great combine numbers and get selected mid rounds.

He’s a kid with 1st round talent that’s projected to go in mid rounds right now.

He’s not going to play another year and fall to UDFA.

That’s not how this works.

His best bet for more money is to come back

I don't see Cox and Stevens staying. They are seniors and would be returning for a 5th season because of the Covid exception.

They should stay to build their stock for the NFL draft but I just don't see it.

Logan, Ferrell and Andre Anthony also are probably gone.

Bingo

Since when is an elite program ever supposed to have a damn losing season?

Recruiting is supposed to take care of that along with a strong HC. Coordinators will leave and THAT is why a strong (and knowledgeable) HC is essential to being elite.
