Doubtful.
They usually try to matchup opponents based upon preseason projections. LSU will be picked to finish at or very near the bottom of the SEC. NC State won’t be picked at the bottom of the ACC

My impression is that Woodward did buy some good grace from NCAA for taking care of their Will Wade problem. NC State v LSU would be great game for the drama, but LSU now so bad not sure if it would be appreciated on national stage. With that being said, would be hilarious FU to Woodward and LSU for coercing them into firing Wade to turn tables and screw them a few years later by bringing Wade back to Baton Rouge and max embarrassing them in BR. Would be great dick move and I think warranted for AD cowardly firing.

I'll be completely honest, I'll always pull for LSU, but there's a possibility I'd be cheering for NC State in this game.

If this game were at the PMAC I think Wade would get quite the ovation. Would be incredible and I think LSU brass would try to fight and prevent it from happening.

LSU will make it clear to the decision makers that they do not want this to happen and it is not important enough to anyone else for them to force it on us. It would be interesting though.

One could make assumptions, but until there is a known roster, there is no telling. I don’t know that the ACC will be giving Wade his flowers year 1.
Same goes for LSU. Williams, chest, and I guess ward are in the portal. Perhaps a couple others depart as well.
It usually isn’t a sign of a lot of continuity when you turn down the postseason.
