I agree with you on Kelly trying to find that difference maker at the Safety spot and allowing players to play their more natural positions. And to me I think Toviano is that comparison to Justin hamilton.
It is possible that Zy makes his way to Safety at times but I found him far more impressive with his length and coverage ability that would make a big difference at Corner.
But you are right we have a good amount of talent at Corner that they can mix and match and find the right recipe for success with the amount of talented players we have.

Huge weakness at running back with no all-SEC level player.
Need some depth at LB. Otherwise, agreed.

The noles are bring back almost all their starters. Even projected 1st rounder verse is coming back for fsu. They will be a load that first game.

Hot take: Denver Harris will be CB1

No... we will be as good as Bama... but still a step below UGA. It is in the trenches on offense where we will not be there yet.. We are one year away on Offense.
On defense we will be there with Smith WIngo etc... but UGA still has more quality depth to rotate. Then the next year when our offense line is so good, our defense is missing studs

Bama’s QB doesn’t scare me at all. Huge downgrade
And their WR's . A few went to the portal and NONE scared us this past season. Any new joins (portal/FR) will need time with a new QB. Will be interesting...

These position groups concern me. That RB room doesn't excite me for next year at all.
The DBs are meh......I miss DBU. We knew who the standout would be next year based on what we saw this year. None of these guys will be standouts...but I hope im wrong.

Idk about all of this but I do know that our secondary is going to be stronger this year. The DL should be a push or better and I’m hoping we get lucky somewhere and add another LB or two who gets in there and tackles like a mad man. A Queen type LB. That’s pretty much all we missing on D. The offense looks good but we really need a solid running back to take another step. I think we can get by with what we have and we might find that in one of the freshman backs. If we stay healthy there all season then I think we will have two guys who can do what we need BUT if we don’t then we may have issues unless one or both of the freshman show up ready to go. The TE position looks great. I would have loved to see us land at least 2 or 3 freshman DL to go with these transfers for the future. I’m not looking at next season. I think we’ll be fine next season, I’m looking at the growth of our football team as a whole and for us to get stronger we need to get these top 20 guys here, like we doing for the OL. We do that at LB and DL then we have a championship waiting for us down the road.
We can continue to reload with transfers but I’d really like to see some natural LSU growth with 3 or 4 years inside of our system because I think our S&C program is tops in the country if not the best. It’s quite amazing what they did to this team last year. It was a real transformation. I think it could start to set us apart but we need to get these top guys in here for it to work at its peak level.
All in all I still believe that our complete staff is one of the best in the country and when these recruits start to notice these LSU players are just different then I think that’s when things will change big for us and we can start to land those 5* DL, LBs, DBs and the rest. We start getting real interest from all these top players around the country and have these 5* QBs fighting to come play here that’s when things will change for us and I think we can get to that point. It’s a process and I really don’t mind seeing that process. I’m not sure that we are a no doubt championship team yet but we aren’t far from that and we will absolutely be able to compete with anyone next year.
What will really change things for us next season is if JD can really grow as a passer and he starts throwing the ball on time to spots for our elite WRs to go get. He starts doing that and this running game comes alive then I’ll say, yes we are a championship team. I think the defense will be good enough to get us the ball back enough throughout a game but we will need to score when they do and we will need to be explosive and also be able to control the ball if that’s going to happen.
But with another season of growth for everyone, including the coaches, we could definitely see something special happen, even next year. Things will have to develop as we all hope they do though. It could happen. I can see 10-2 or 11–1 next season. I think 10-2 is more reasonable. The SEC is only going to get stronger and more competitive. I think we have the right guy for that upcoming competition! I’m definitely excited to see what’s in store!

Georgia likely to go undefeated based on their talent and incredibly easy schedule
I could see lsu with possibly 2 losses
