Will Wade just took Mcneese to the tournament with transfers. Mcneese won less than 10 games last year, does not much money to spend on NIL, certainly less than lsu, but yet he did more in year 1 than McMahon did in year 2.
We’re losing the majority of our production, we only have 2 freshman coming in who are developmental players. Unless we hit the transfer portal jackpot I don’t see how we’re going to be better next year.

The momentum you're speaking of must be the fact that we lost three of the last four games and the only win was against a team that lost every single conference game. That is absolutely momentum but in the wrong direction.

It will take accumulation of much better talent to do that. Nobody thinks MM took over under best of circumstances, but he knew what he was signing up for. Unfortunately that’s the landscape of college athletics now, win and win now or get shown the door.

McMahon continues to prove he is a decent mid level college basketball coach...that is it! He is in over his head trying to coach in the SEC where other teams' talent are clearly superior to his players. His highest ranked signee out of HS has been Ward who was the 41st best player in his class. All these 66th, 79th, 97th, 119th best players aren't going to cut it.
Common sense tells you that since there are about 1/3 the number of 4* and 5* caliber BB players that there are FB players, you basically have to multiply by 3 for an equivalent football ranking. Thus, the 41st best player in BB is pretty close to equivalent to the 123rd best player in football. Use the same method to convert the other BB players' rankings, and I don't think LSU fans would be happy with players in football being signed so far down the totem pole.
Bottom line: McMahon's HS recruiting sucks and his transfer portal signees aren't cutting it either.
