I am looking at driving a RV to the sugar bowl. The only thing I am pulling up on the website is French Quarter RV resort, my question is, how far of a walk would it be to the stadium? There will be 7 people total, Myself and my 2 kids, my brother and his 2 kids, and my dad. Also, any other RV lot recommendations would be appreciated. The closer to the superdome the better. Thanks in advance.

ETA: We will drive through the night on new years to get there, we will only need a spot for 1 day, 2 max.

It’s about a 35.0 minute walk.

I live about 10 miles west of N.O. in Metairie. Do not subject your family to that long of a walk. Find a RV park that's way out of the city and rent a car, uber, whatever to the game. There are no RV parks close to the Dome. You might be able to find some outside parking lots close to the Dome which may allow you to park, but it'll probably be less expensive to rent a car, uber. Good Luck.

The RV Park from what I can see from the Interstate isn’t bad. However, the area around it is kinda sketchy, and if the weather is rainy it would be a miserable walk back.

Would not make that walk with a family, at night. As stated, can be a sketchy area and you would stick out like a sore thumb. I would only suggest it if you could find a “larger” group to walk with. Don’t take this as a knock, I’m Nola born and raised, it’s just you’re asking so I feel you should get a truthful answer.

That’s the closest RV park. Go there 100%. However the French quarter and dome is a very cheap short uber ride away. Do not walk. Once in the heart of French quarter or warehouse district or around the dome everything is very walkable Just uber in and out of the RV park.

I see RVs parked every Sunday for Saints games at the lot on Loyola Ave right next to the Greyhound station. Not sure if you have to call a number or first come first serve. That’s literally a 5 min walk to the Dome

The lot opposite the Dome on the corner of Poydras and Claiborne accepts RVs for tailgating. At least they’ve done so for Saints playoff games in the past, as i have attended a tailgate there. Pretty sure they don’t have hook ups and not sure if you can sleep in the RV or not. Maybe just for tailgating purposes. Check out Premiumparking.com. Looks to be Lot P236.

There is another RV Park that is out toward the lake that is nicer and probably a good deal cheaper. The Uber chard will not be very much

It's not a short walk from the FQ honestly. I know Uber will be ridiculous on gameday so you may check into how LSU Health Sciences (across the street from the dome) is going to manage their parking. They'll usually close a few student lots and open up for paid parking. I've seen plenty of RVs out there.

Also, FQ is vastly overrated. Uptown is much nicer and safer and every single FQ hotel will kill you on parking fees.

If you were staying longer than the time mentioned I would recommend bayou segnette state park. Only about 10 mins down the expressway with cheap prices for camping and it’s a decent park. Just don’t know if it would be worth your while only staying one or two days.

You think it’s ten minutes from the Dome?

By car? Absolutely it is. At a guess it’s what 8-10 miles?

Man don't walk any more than you have to in NOLA. Stay in large groups and in heavily trafficked areas
