RV parking in New Orleans.

I am looking at driving a RV to the sugar bowl. The only thing I am pulling up on the website is French Quarter RV resort, my question is, how far of a walk would it be to the stadium? There will be 7 people total, Myself and my 2 kids, my brother and his 2 kids, and my dad. Also, any other RV lot recommendations would be appreciated. The closer to the superdome the better. Thanks in advance. We will drive through the night on new years to get there, we will only need a spot for 1 day, 2 max.

I think you’re in the right spot. 20ish minute walk.

That’s definitely the closest RV park to the dome at around a 20-30 minute walk. I would not feel comfortable walking that route day or night, especially with kids, since you’re basically walking through the old Iberville housing projects.

My immediate though is damn, the whole project can carjack you at the same time.

Park at the FQ Resort and take an Uber/Lyft to the the Dome.

Lot 3A behind the dome next to smoothie king center is reserved for oversized vehicles. The baws fill it up quickly with their trucks so get there early.

It’s longer than a 20 minute walk. Not the roughest part of the city but also not one I would recommend walking through. Park along Loyola or in 1 of the pay lots on Loyola. I’ve seen some RV’s do that for Saints games.

Like mentioned, do not walk directly to the Dome.
Go south about 8 blocks into the quarter, turn right, go about 10 blocks to Poydras, take another right, go about 10 blocks to the Dome.

According to the website, they are charging $250 per night with a 3 night minimum for the Sugar Bowl. You may want to call around to some parking lots and see if they are doing RV parking for the game. They do it during Mardi Gras.
Also, I would not feel comfortable recommending that area to an out of towner for walking that route especially at night and especially with kids. You would basically be walking through the old Iberville housing projects.

This isn't going to happen for a big game like the Sugar Bowl on New Years. Going to be a multi night minimum I'd expect due to demand.
I don't know NOLA RV parking at all but easily your best bet will be to park further away and Uber in.

Like mentioned I'd Uber/Lyft to where you want to go, the park is nice but the area to get to the Dome and area around it, not so much. There's a reason the RV park has a cinder block wall with razor wire on the top going all the way around it.

Just find a cheap Air B&B Uptown and park your RV in the driveway or in front of the house. People do it for Mardi Gras all the time.

Park at Bayou Segnette Park and Uber.

Honestly, I'd park my RV at Pine Crest in Slidell and uber to and from the dome.
with a family (not sure of kids ages) it would probably be quieter than where you're looking.
May also want to check pricing.
