I've been dismissed from a job. You don't keep your salary and benefits when you are dismissed.

Racey McMath signed with LSU from Edna Karr, and apparently made it known that he would not have signed with LSU if Craig had been fired

Which is why you don't fire recruiters til after signing day. It's not a new practice.

LSU needs to hire David Johnson real fast...

He already turned down the job. It appears Coach Eaux has royally screwed up.

And now he's an associate head coach at TT
That will give him a ton more time to spend with his family than being a position coach

So let me get this straight. 6 high profile LA recruits leave the state. The HC makes personnel decisions to reverse this and their response is to boycott because we're trying to get more of their players?

O has done a lot to build bridges with former players. Be a good time now for them to speak out.

I. Know.

But when you do it, expect the people you lied to to be angry

+1000

They're not offended as long as they're getting taken care of though. Just don't try to hold one of their own accountable

If O knew he was going to fire him, but made those recruits feel he was keeping Juluke because those recruits liked Juluke, then he was still very shady. And they would still have a right to be pissed

I agree it's not the best practice in the world but its certainly not unique to LSU. If i recruit chooses a school simply for a position coach and that reason alone that's a poor way to make a decision.

At least O kept him on staff to keep his benefits while he looked for a new job. Actually O comes out of this looking pretty good.

Nobody here knows what happened behind the scenes. Player's need to commit to a school and not a coach. This is a business and coaches jobs will always be fluid.

I agree. But it is human nature for you, your parents, and anyone else associated with to be angry if you were lied to or mislead
