Yeah I’m gonna.

Controlled myself on the retro basketball unis because I’m an old, hairy, white guy, but I’ll be damned if that doesn’t make a baseball jersey my wheelhouse

The actual lettering is the same, but for whatever reason, only the purple jerseys have a double outline (purple and then gold) around the white lettering, whereas the white just has a gold outline around purple lettering and the gold just has a purple outline around white lettering.

It would look so much better if all three had double outlines.

While we’re talking baseball Unis,

Do they sell the onfield hats? No way the team is wearing those aerobill hats with the holes in them.

They haven't restocked in over a year. The only ones they have available online is the throwback hat. Same thing with a lot of the merchandise online. Fanatics, who runs our online store and stores for other schools, is terrible.

I realized how bad fanatics was when I had a kid.

There used to be all kinds of cute baby LSU merch at the bookstore. Now it’s all the same generic football onesies with LSU’s logo printed on them instead of whatever other school.

I cant Even by a baby football jersey like I bought my nephew 9 years ago.

It's not a Nike thing. I spoke with a Nike rep about seeing if there was even a way of custom ordering the letters/numbers to put my name on a regular jersey and they said elite schools like LSU own all the fonts/numbers/etc.

Yep you pretty much have to go to the main bookstore on campus or some other third party vendor to have any selections for kids stuff. Living in TN made that quite difficult for my daughter. The stuff online is just over the top tacky

They have a monopoly on merch too. So you never get anything unique. You get homogenized licensed stuff that looks the same as every other school but with a different logo. And in the case of LSU, it's probably a shitty logo.

Bengals and Bandits is my favorite merch shop off. They have a lot of their own licensed prints and some good kids stuff. Finally got my guy a cool LSU T-shirt.
