Any idea why the SEC doesn’t want LSU traveling there?

We've played Missouri a grand total of 2 times. Ever.

Not sure we can jump on the conspiracy train just yet.

Because of the cross divisional rival, it’s going to take over a decade to play at every East school. Pretty shitty for the players and fans.

I am sure Mizzou fans are happy about not playing a lot of LSU games.

I'd rather play at Mizzou when we can actually go to that game. I can wait til 2023 or whenever it is.

In the regular season, correct. We lost to James Wilder and Missouri in the 1978 Liberty Bowl, 20-15.

And I’m sure CoMo business owners would love for LSU to come.

I’m disappointed that we’re playing them at home. We’ve never been to Columbia, Missouri. It would have been cool to see that.

I believe future Saint Tony Galbraith was the other running back.

Steve Ensminger was our QB splitting time with David Woodley.

I just remember Wilder running wild on our defense.

Then, he went to the Buccaneers and ran wild on the Saints' defense!

I just checked into Galbreath; he was drafted by the Saints in 1976, so his time at Mizzou predated that game.

Hopefully by then mizzou will have a decent team and it’ll be a ranked matchup. Their fans will show out if their team is good.

Well it’ll be a while and Drinkwitz pulled the worst draw of anyone getting LSU and Bama this year so he’s gonna look even worse than he might actually be. Gonna be hard to recruit when you get blown out badly by your competition. Although I guess I shouldn’t count chickens. A few more Neil Farrells sit out and we’re gonna be a pretty mediocre team.

Drinkwitz Is a damn good coach. I think if they can build a decent base out of Memphis, St Louis and KC, they’ll be pretty good team. I don’t see how they couldn’t be a 8 of 9 win team.

Not missing much. Long trip, weak fanbase.
SEC Attendance Rankings
If LSU played there it would be a home game. And everyone would stay in Branson!
Adding Mizzou was kind of like the SEC getting an annual rent-a-win for the rest of the league.

Columbia is a couple hour drive from KC & STL, and neither metro has that much talent. The years Mizzou has been relevant, they’ve recruited heavily out of Texas, especially DFW. But without the Big-12, they’re not playing 3-4 games a year in and around there anymore. Plus football just isn’t as big in that part of the country. CU sits on top of Denver and they’re rarely relevant. Kids in KC & STL more into hoops, soccer, and baseball. There’s a reason the Rams left.

I've been to LSU vs Missouri softball super regional and a regular SEC series there and Columbia isn't much better than Starkville. Out in the middle of nowhere and trashy.

Why in the frick would everyone stay in Branson? That place is extremely overrated not to mention it’s across the state from Columbia. KC & STL have plenty going on to stay there and drive in como for the game.

Because Louisiana loves it some Branson for some strange reason. And KC & STL are out of the way, unless you’re going there to catch an interstate headed south.
