Bama does have a shite schedule but in all fairness, VT is normally a decent team at least up until a couple years ago. Not NC caliber but top 15.

If we had Bama's schedule then I would be all in on the national title hype.

10-2

i was pumped about 2011. Odd year, game in the dome, sr qbs. It was actually the perfect storm regarding our last 2 bcs titles. After we creamed wvu i knew we were going undefeated.

Notre Dame's schedule is pretty tough. Take off the glasses.

Don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but they definetly have a pretty tough schedule.

Michigan had a pretty good defense last year an the offense should be explosive this year. IMO they are the equivalent of Ole Miss, with the potential of an UGA

Michigan State would beat the bottom 6 of our conference.

Oklahoma would beat the bottom half of our conference

Arizona St could beat Everybody not named Alabama TAMU, LSU

USC is Vandy and actually they have the same strengths and weaknesses

Then they have Stanford, who would be #3 if they played in the SEC.

I actually feel the same way.

Not in the slightest bit worried about the D. While our corners may be young they've had a decent amount of playing time to get experience. I think Chavis will trust the CBs man-on-man, which will allow us to blitz more. Plus, I think the fact that we will actually have a passing game will suddenly make our offense much more productive. We are going to be a monster...

Whoa boy, settle down. Definitely couldn't beat UGA, USCe, and UF.

I agree with the 10-2'ers b/c it would still be a good year, but I also think games like Ole Miss go from a ? to a blowout if your team is consistent. If we beat UGA, seems like 11-1 but that's a tough match-up, and at this point you'd be wise to chalk up any away game against the Big 6 as an L. I think we beat A&M regardless of JFF, and UF at home seems manageable. Bama is a straight push, so, I can see the optimism.

I worried about the loss of personnel on D after the Draft, but every position besides DE is so stacked with returning play-makers it's foolish to assume we won't have one of the better defenses in the country again.

ASU's offense is loaded and the D is pretty good.

They'd challenge UGA, USCe, and UF and could beat them. They'd have no chance with LSU and Bama though.

You overvalue a lot of teams bud

And what makes anyone think the D will get "lit" up. That makes no sense to me. If our D wouldn't have been so solid we'd have a new head coach by now.

This D is loaded with talent.

I agree. Even with a young defense I really believe our offense is going to be able to score at will.

WE ARE GOING TO SIMPLY OUTSCORE EVERY OPPONENT WE FACE THIS YEAR.

Is this your Pac-12 sleeper? I'm not gonna pretend I know much about them, but I think they'd shock the world if they finish ahead of Oregon or Stanford, and I still think anyone in the Big 6 could beat either of those two more times than not. I'm not saying it has no chance of happening, but isn't OSU, UCLA, Zona and USC in just as good a position to finish 3rd?

I think it comes down to quarterback play. That's assuming the offensive play calling improves from the second half debacle of the chicken bowl.I have every confidence in the Tiger's defense. I'm having some reluctance buying into Zak's maturity. But then that's why we play the games.

I really like the flying under the radar thing LSU has going for it this year.

There is no better motivation for a team than to go out and prove the doubters wrong.

I'm very optimistic about the offense, however I'm in a show me state of mind. Been promised a great offense for years and have to see it to believe it.

If offense can control T.O.P, I'm not worried about the defense. Sure we are young but they can play. The key is that lsu can not make the D stay on the field as long as they have had to the past few years. The depth isn't there this year to do that.

I'm happy with 10-2 because the schedule is tough, but if the offense gets on a roll 11-1 would be awesome.

Gonna say 10-2 with losing to bama and uga. We have one win at uga since 97, although I understand les has won there already. Bama will have the team set by the time we play them, so that will be tough. We could beat them and drop another one, but just think road games will be tough and those two are the toughest.

This. This. This.

When you have a good offense you don't need a good defense. QBs are always much better their 2nd year than the 1st. We will have a passing attack along with the running, and no one will be able to stop us, including Alabama.
