Is Robert Muller involved in Guice's background investigation?

Guice is a “character” but somebody is probably just trying to get him cheap.

Some team must be working real hard to force him to drop to them. All they seem to have is that he's from a single-parent household because he lost his father. That has truly seemed to motivate him and keep him focused all this time. Someone is working it. Especially since he interviews well.

Now that’s unique in the NFL.

This is what happens late in the process / right before the draft. They start nitpicking over everything.

I’m sure a team/scout/analyst didn’t like how Guice revelaved some of the “questions” that he was asked during combine interviews. I’m sure a team/scout/analyst had a problem with something on social media. Who knows?

It’s so dumb. Especially considering he has never been in trouble at LSU or any of that. And to put his name alongside Antonio Calloway (WR from Florida) is just absurd.

Edit: Yep... I was right. Seems like it has to do with some of the “questions” that were asked to Guice during combine interviews...

quote:

Hannah Withiam of the New York Post reports that LSU RB Derrius Guice could have his draft stock fall after his "suspicious" response to the questions asked to him at the NFL Scouting Combine. Withiam also reports that Guice has had questions about his maturity level, but that his "ambiguous" answers to questions about his interviews with NFL teams are what really could hurt his draft stock. If you don't recall, Guice told reporters that he was asked by teams whether he "liked men" or whether or not his mother was a prostitute. Guice reportedly has now said that his comments were "taken out of context." The talent on the field is obvious, but these types of concerns could see Guice fall into the second round -- although that might have happened even without these "concerns." Apr 20 - 8:23 PM

So stupid. Some team is upset that Guice talked about the dumb/inappropriate questions that they asked him. Nothing to see here.

well, he was a fine young man when he was LSU...patiently waited his turn behind fournette and I never heard a negative word about him.

soon, it will all pay off for him.

It sounds like he wasn’t really asked any inappropriate questions.

So is it the Giants or the Jets trying to get him for a steal?

Have you ever been asked if you like men or if your Mom is a prostitute in an interview?

He ran his mouth about the kneelers. The last thing NFL teams want is another jackass kneeling during the anthem.

Made me chuckle

And we don’t know how Guice answered them. Could have answered them fine. I think it has more to do with th fact that he told the media some of the questions he was asked and that bothered a team.

Inappropriate and difficult are two different things.

As for the story, Guice was poor, he grew up in the hood, his dad was murdered when he was little and his brother was arrested for murder a few years ago. Yet, he made it to college, averaged 6.5 ypc and always represented LSU really well while patiently waiting his turn in a stacked backfield. Dude has had nothing but character so far in his life.

Been watching him play since 9th grade. Kid is always 100% effort on the field. Guice will be a homerun draft for some lucky team. The kid is generous to a fault. Ask Travell and Javahn, they’ll tell you.
