Maybe you misunderstood my point, so let me clarify.

I'm not personally offended by anything other than the laziness of that assertion. It's a cheap, clearly transparent way of dismissing another's argument rather than addressing it in any meaningful way. It's essentially a No True Scotsman Fallacy...after all, no true LSU fan would be so negative, etc.

But it's this case, it's plain old lazy too. We all have usernames and if you spend even the tiniest amount of time paying attention to anyone other than yourself (in general, not you specifically) it's almost impossible not to get a feel for who thinks what, especially if they are around long enough and post often enough.

So to claim that someone who is being negative now is not a fan means that A) one has paid no attention at all and really has no idea who they're talking to despite years worth of data from which to draw or B) they know full well that their assertion is completely false and they use it as a rhetorical device in a lame attempt to win an argument.

And maybe that part I do take seriously, because I don't lie on here despite it being anonymous. I don't pretend to hold opinions I don't really have and I really don't write any provocative JUST to get a rise out of anyone. I try and behave like an honest broker and I like to think others do as well because it's really the only thing that makes this "conversation" have any value to me.. That may be my fault, but it's a fault I think we'd all be better served having.

For my second post, I agree with this! I'd love to see most of you alls personal lives, or be witness to the constant bitching about everything. Grow a set ant, or just stop. Bet most of the wives of posters here want you fired as well, and that I'd buy a ticket for and stay the whole game.
