Only joking, but this sub is so overreactive it is funny. You would think the world is going to end every time we lose a game. It is baseball. Only SEC play matters for the regular season

All goals still out there
The slow start in non conference play only hurts when it comes time for national seeding

It kind of sucks LSU did not draw Fla or UK from the east this year, that RPI bump would have been very helpful to offset the games they've dropped early if they could have that opportunity to win series against two top 5 teams.

This team isn't where we would like them to be right now, but I'm excited to see if they can meet their potential similar to the way last years team did.

They have the players. If they can play up to their talent they should be able to go on a run like last years team and spray the ball all over the field and put up lots and lots of runs.

Then on the mound if you continue down the path they seem to be heading, and Storz is healthy, Hilliard and Labas continue to improve you should have a very good staff. Hess, Gilbert, Hilliard, Labas, Storz, Sanders, Beck, Bain. Maybe Fontenot finally shows what Mainieri sees in him.

Wait til they play a baseball team, they beat Hawaii 2 out of 3. What bout how will they do in the sec? Have you watched Lsu play baseball this year at all?

If a team starts off hot and then hits a rough stretch - no big deal. But if that rough stretch comes at the start of the season, doom and gloom. I can see this team leveling out and playing well enough to win the SEC.

Typical melt when Tigers lose. Nothing new & really nothing to see.
Some is sarcasm & some is just dumb posters.

I mean, how can anyone be upset with our pitching the last two weekends? Its been pretty impressive from where we started. Hess, while gave up 3 bombs, pitched pretty freaking good. Hawaii should be a good reminder to not leave fastballs right over the middle of the damn plate.

This. At least wait til we win the SEC tourney and lock up a national seed.

BRAX our pitching has looked good and the depth is better than it usually is. Not sure about your reasoning here when you compare this team to pitching depth of past successful years with less arms

Have you ever watched LSU baseball or college baseball in the past? Those of you saying “they beat Hawaii” don’t even realize that what you’re saying doesn’t even mean anything. You don’t even know if Hawaii is talented or not.

Baseball is not what it used to be with the scholarship rules. There are many teams with good hitters and pitchers. Hawaii had a 3rd baseman that made several nice plays and and crushed a ball completely out of the stadium. They had a big DH that drove the ball when he made contact. They had a lead off batter who homered and could not be kept off the bases for pretty much the whole first game. Their ace kept us off balance in the first game and resembled what we will see from a lot of SEC teams this year.

We faced one of SELU’s best pitchers and faced an ace from ULL. We beat a potential first round pick from Texas and another good starter from them. You just sound stupid when you act like every team we play has no talent and the mid week teams aren’t throwing their best at us. All of this same stuff was said last year and we played for a national championship.

In case some of you don’t pay attention to other programs, Virginia was 27-18 at one point in the 2015 season. They had to win 5 of their last 6 conference games to break even in the conference. They were later eliminated in the conference tournament. They made a regional and went on a 10-2 postseason run and won the CWS and they were absolutely the best team in the country at that time. Please try to use some objective reasoning and get over the LSU should never lose mindset.

I agree with you. I think this team actually has pitching depth greater than last year. I know that sounds crazy considering we had to replace our 3 starting pitchers. We even have a nice depth problem on the field.

This team is capable of going on a tear and winning it all. This team, like any, is capable of going on a slide and not even hosting a regional. That's baseball. And it's damn fun to watch these kids gain experience. So sit back and enjoy it.

Sitting with my 15 yr old daughter at game 1 vs Hawaii, I found myself explaining the irrational expectation that LSU Baseball must go to Omaha(top 8) every year and win it all every 3-5 years or be deemed a failure.
She was visibly confused as she kept pressing me to understand how fans could expect the baseball team to be THAT good EVERY year.

Negatigers love to deflect to 'recruiting class' and 'wasted talent'. But ultimately it's just absurd and baseless.

My 'duty' as a fan is to support the program. We made 21 home games last season and have made 14 of 15 so far this season.
