Absolute no brainer. WBB loses a ton of money yearly.
How much do they make for the university in publicity. Money well spent

LSU athletics is top 6 in the country. Worth over a billion dollars. Many of there higher income states have multiple schools and care more about other sports than their local state university.

Tennessee is elite in the 4 major sports. As for LSU women’s basketball, it has a hall of fame local head coach with amazing support. That is not going away. Kim is a Nick Saban clone with more titles on the way. I want LSU to turn into South Carolina or UConn

Nor can we have nothing but smart fans.

how many schools are there out there that are really elite in football, baseball, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball? I would imagine it’s very few, if any at all.
Depending on how we define "really elite," probably no one. UTenn is close. UF at times when Foley was AD excelled in multiple sports. If we're talking sustained eliteness, no one IMO.
FTR, we've done very good in a lot of sports and with the exception of MBB are close to being elite in all four.

Foley was an incredible AD at Florida

Please explain...one has won 4 National Titles. I love Johnson, but he isn't at her level yet in terms of success.
Also, how did we miss on CMM? What were our options? If you mean we settled for a solid mid level coach who runs a clean program....that is the real answer. Dripnuts will go crazy but we didn't have top notch coaches lining up. MM will likely be here one more year and be gone they way of JJ and TJ.

CJJ is not as accomplished as KM but he hasn't coached as long as she has either. He's on a grand slam trajectory. Having already won a natty in Y2, we can deem him a grand slam hire.

That is not going to happen. Kim will be retired in 3-5 years. Coaching isn't her life. Being a Mom and Grandma is her life.

She has 3 or 4 high 5* coming in next cycle. Those recruits can be the foundation for a title or 2. This year is looking like a final four. Maybe she retires after a title or 2. Like Saban, she is a high achiever

LSU men’s basketball doesn’t have it to achieve like the women’s program

This is it. There are a handful of posters who have this insane cult love for a guy who is a average coach and cheated the school they claim to support.
If Will Wade was average, then McMahon is putrid.
Explain how he cheated LSU by busing his own money to try to make the team better?
quote:
When he was caught instead of just coming clean he lied to his bosses and didn't cooperate. This is why he was fired
Bruce Pearl literally did he same exact thing and basically told his AD to go frick himself and he wasn’t cooperating. He’s still at Auburn after they decided to sacrifice his assistant coach.

Wade was a embarrassment to LSU and it wasn't going away
I’m not embarrassed. Everyone else was doing it so who gives a shite.
He needs to be hired back by us when this season ends. I guarantee you season ticket sales would sky rocket as would the hype around the program. And I’d bet we would be a tournament team next year.

If you want money for the men's basketball program to improve, you might need to give up all the money that you're giving to the women's basketball coach. You might need to give up money for paying over a million dollars for a tight ends coach. You might have to cut back on your nil budget for your baseball team.
I'd love to see proof of the money that you've given to support any of these sports. Particularly funds directed to MBB. Surely a stepper like yourself contributes $100k or more.

Which 4 sports are you talking about and I'll assume national championships aren't a must have in order to be elite. Baseball, I can see because they've won a natty last year. I don't keep up with hardly anyone outside LSU in MBB and WBB, so i have no clue and as for football.... when did they last win the SEC and/or a natty??

We would have been better off with the current Notre Dame coach than the one we got.
