I hope it's the same bunch doing the Michigan game, they seem like a good bunch. I doubt they'll have double duty with the NCG game.

Didn't the SEC refs already do the Rose Bowl? Who's going to ref the NCG?

Big 12, Thank God.

Two reasons this is good for LSU:
1-They are not from Alabama
2-They will be wanting to bitchslap Bama for screwing OK State out of the BCS NCG Berth (fingers crossed)

How do they say he didn't maintain control?

Like I said, tough call. Being honest, he had control.

edit: Coach Hoke just said he thought it was good too.

Really tough call. He seemed to maintain possession the whole time. Not quite sure what they saw to overturn the call.

Ask yourself this...assuming that Rueben Randall made that catch against Bama in the Dome...and the f'n replay judges pulled a 'Patrick Peterson' AGAIN, on us...just what the hell would the consequences be.

Dudes' elbow was clearly on the ground, BEFORE the ball touched, and he never lost control. Just that the ball was sideways.

Another grand ripoff...thanks to idiots in the replay booth. Les Miles ought to be on the phone and in the paper with agressive and pre-emptive commentary. He should challenge the illegitimace of that call, and lay the groundwork and turn up the heat and attention to the replay booth.

Fair is fair. No excuses at that level.

I'd be weary of Big 12 refs if I was an LSU fan. Remember that t.u. controls the refs in the Big 12 and LSU competes directly with t.u. for recruits. It would be in t.u.'s best interest to have Alabama win that game. We'll check back here after the game to see if I was right, should any controversial calls be made. Just my $0.02...

If you want to talk conspiracy theories, it seems to me that after Okie State's win, the obvious one is that if Alabama wins, there may be a split title with Okie State. Whether there should be or not is irrelevant, ESPN would push really hard for it. The Big XII refs could have this in mind...

That said, I don't think there will be any conspiracies impacting the officiating of this game.

I thought the crew that did the LSU vs Oregon game is officiating in the NCG.

The Sugar Bowl refs were from the SEC. It was the same crew that officiated the LSU-Alabama game on 11/5.
