I don't remember the boombox being outside the dugout until games were over. Just gonna have to leave it in there after a win.

The rule just says inside the dugout. It doesn't say anything about LSU not being able to use it. Not that it matters since the season is over because LSU lost to a conference USA team that got shut out in back to back games by Ole Miss.

Yeah, baseball isn't fun unless you use props. Otherwise it's just awful for the players.

So USM has to get rid of the paddle?
Some four year-old is missing it in a kiddie pool somewhere.

The Boat scored as much this past weekend as did USM.

There were a few times it made it outside of the dugout, but it was still around the steps when the player was coming into the dugout. They weren't bringing it out close to the batters' box or foul lines like USM did the paddle. I also do not recall them directing any of their celebrations to the opposing dugout (I am sure they did,. but I don't recall seeing it) like USM, Tenn, OU has done the past 2 weekends.

As others pointed out, this may not be directly aimed at LSU, but included with the overall theatrics that other teams have been doing. Whether or not you agree with it, it appears the NCAA is trying to address it now before it keeps building. IMO, as long as they are not delaying the game any further, keeping it within their team's designated areas, and not directing towards the other dugouts; what harm is there to these celebrations

It was aimed at Virginia tech that had the sledgehammer they’d bring onto the field after home runs.

I think they cooled down the props and antics in the softball dugouts. I always thought it was funny - should allow for "rally demonstrations" limited to the 8th inning and after.

Running around bases giving the finger to fans and/or opponents players is good sportsmanship
