The field is named after him already.

NO. The stadium is named for a Tiger baseball and football player who gallantly gave his life in combat. Leave it be! Absolutely no disrespect for Skip.

Put a statue at the entrance so every kid who walks in will ask their parent who he is.

No way, NO WAY, Skip would want to take a war hero’s name off of the stadium.

5. LSU has erected a statue of him.
Not much more a school can do to memorialize and immortalize a person.
