Thousands and Thousands of guys have played in bowl games and not torn a knee.

This whole mindset of skipping bowl games for fear of injury is just stupid. It's football. If you're worried about injury then why ever play at all?
I get this decision is typically made once players have proven themselves and have nothing to gain but ok. Caleb Williams? Why play at all this season? He would be the 1st QB taken regardless of anything he did this season. They play because they are competitors and want to win. And want to be there for their teammates. People say oh its just a meaningless game. But it's not to those seniors who won't be moving on to the NFL. It's the last football they will ever play so it's anything but meaningless.

Playing doesn't show anything. Especially considering he most likely just wants to take a few snaps to get the record and then sit. It's also not guaranteed his decision now actually sticks.
