If Finley plays next week and tears it up again, I can’t think they bring brennan back starting even if he’s healthy.

Give T.J. and Max more reps if possible. Can't have too many experienced quarterbacks on the team, !

Brennan will be back next and Coach O made it VERY CLEAR in his presser last night that Brennan will be our starting QB

With Finley playing as well as he did, I'm not sure they rush back Brennan if he is not clearly 100%. It's a good problem to have either way and tremendously helps the outlook of the program.

It was an excellent debut. But we have to see how he will look in a 2nd performance. Still, he managed the offense great, showed tremendous touch/passing ability and showed great hustle by running and diving at the defender on the interception to stop a pick 6.

When I see people say this it makes me laugh, like what do y’all expect the HC to say in the past game interview?? “TJ was great tonight, Myles is now the backup”? But I do think TJ should be the starter, if he can pass the ball as good as Myles, but is more gifted physically, then what’s the case for starting Myles over TJ??

How is he more gifted physically?

He’s 6’6 250, he has a bigger arm and definitely looks stronger than Myles also.... Didn’t have to come in and sit for 3 years and gain weight just to get on the field

You do realize he was only on the field because of injury, right? We had no choice but to play him or Max.
WTH are you talking about?

Quarterback is not our problem. Either of the 2 will do. I would hold out Myles until Bama to make sure he is 100% ready to go. Auburn is gonna score 50 on us anyway.

What does it matter what work MB had to put in? He put in the work, so who gives a frick. Not to mention the only reason TJ made it to the field was because MB was injured. Same would’ve happened last year for MB if Joe was hurt.

At times it looks like LSU could give up 50 to anyone, but I don't think Auburn is scoring 50 on us if they got 22 against South Carolina and lost 30-22.

Idk, You hate to bring him back too soon and risk re-injury. Lets let him recover a couple more weeks to be on the safe side.

Play Finely against Auburn even if Brennan is near ready, Gives Brennan two weeks extra rest. TJ needs the reps in the event we need him down the road

I could see them starting Finley next week if Brennan isn’t 100%. If Finley shines next week too, then you have a tough decision going into the Bama game. On one hand, you’d have a guy with at least some playing time in big games (although it was garbage time), has been in the system longer, and has looked good so far this year but hasn’t played in 4 weeks and is coming off an injury. On the other hand, you have a freshman with 2 starts under him who has looked really good but would be starting in his first big game against a real serious team. It’s a tough decision.

Of it wasn't for our defense, we should beat auburn easily. Good game to let brennan and TJ both play.

Yeah, but efficiency from the position can still be the difference in wins and losses. It's far easier to change quarterbacks than it is to fix an entire defense.

Brennan still deserves the job IMO, but if he can't improve 3rd down and short passing then I would be okay with a change. I don't care how many yards he throws for when trailing.. We should have punched the ball in against Mizz for the win. I am not blaming Brennan, but perhaps Finley gets us in the endzone.

People who are saying the success of the running game is what contributed to the 3rd down conversions going up still don't realize Brennan missed multiple throws, especially in the Miss St game to help move the chains and extend drives. This alone helps the defense.

Were we really 0-fer on 3rd down conversions against Mizz? I don't even remember.

3rd down conversions + red zone offensive efficiency > passing yards in trailing games.

I agree that no matter what it's very encouraging to see the offense stay successful.

If that happens I can almost guarantee Brennan is going to re-injure himself and probably worse then.

Reminds me of that player in the NBA playoffs last year, can't remember for the life of me, who had been injured and tried to come back too soon. I remember telling my coworker that he was going to get injured and be out for the rest of the playoffs, and sure enough, it happened.

You think LSU would have trotted out a 180lb true freshman Brennan over other QBs on the roster during his freshman year?
