If Brennan can throw for half or better of Burrow's numbers, with our running game (which should be as good as anyone in the SEC), 10 wins is the floor.

Won't be as flashy, won't blow as many teams out, more nail-biter wins, but LSU will still be a legit playoff team. Will come down to the Bama game once again, and we get 'em in Death Valley

we’ll see more throws outside of the hashes on comeback and corner routes

I expect more back shoulder throws as well. Part of the reason I see more outside the hashes throws are due to Marshall and Chase being the top 2 receivers on the outside and losing Jefferson who was feasting over the middle.

Offensive production depends upon the talent: line, then QB, then RBs and receivers. Talent is the front wheel on the offensive bicycle, and utilization (coaching and scheme) is the rear. You need them both. Luck and health factor as well.

So, I’m going into the season (hope we have one) optimistic with Myles.

No. I clearly said the game AND practice film. I have seen scrimmage film of him, specifically when Joe Burrow sat out a scrimmage last fall and Brennan ran with the ones. It’s not a blind assessment by any means.

MYLES has had the deck stacked against him for a long time but still keeps ticking.
How many coaches and OC's?
How many other QB's?
Arrival of The Great One!
Not to mention Katrina. His family was displaced to MS and ended up living on a boat for a while.

If Brennan is Brett Favre...I’m okay with that

I admire your optimism that we will actually have a season.

Yep....just looked it up...we attempted 567 passes to 513 rushing attempts. We completed 426 of those pass attempts which is insane....we were actually 52-48 pass to run, but your point is well taken. People tend to think we were such a pass happy offense...we were just so damn efficient when we did it, some people forget we could run the ball well when needed.

Those numbers are awfully deceptive

Look at all of our toughest games and look how many rushes that Burrow had in those games. UF, AU, ALA, Clemson, UGA he took off a lot on designed pass plays

Some of the 52-48 number can also be attributed to us blowing the doors off of a lot of teams and getting conservative in the second half. We were in fact a pass happy offense.

Don't ever mention Ryan Fitzpatrick in the same sentence as Favre.

Most asinine thing I've read all day.

If Randy Moss could make Chad Pennington look like a draft-able QB, what could Chase and Marshall do for Brennan? Not to mention the unproven commodities that offer a lot of promise— Palmer, Gilbert, etc.

Even with the dropoff I am optimistic about next fall even if I am pessimist we have a normal season.
