Exactly.

I want the guy who cooks the best biscuits and gravy. That’s your guy.

Idgaf who wins the starting job. May the best man win. Thats the thing with a new coaching staff, there are no favorites and every player basically starts with a clean slate. Its an open competition and the best players will play regardless of the amount of time theyve been in the program or not. I really think jayden daniels has a good shot to win the job. He brings mobility and speed to an offense that is very rare. He has good arm strength and good accuracy as well. Him being able to extend plays with his legs is going to be something im watching for in the spring game, bc with the talent we have around him, thats a huge benefit. We will see who wins out, but i dont have any allegiance towards anyone nor a favorite. Just give me the qb that gives us the best chance to win games...period. Qb is just one of the position battles that im looking forward to seeing play out. Geaux Tigers.

I just want to make you aware that this theory was panned years ago. Now go ahead and take your potshots at me as the messenger.

Why'd they have to bring in Jayden Daniels, I wanted to see Brennan lead them this season.

Presume you meant to reply to someone else, this has nothing to do with my post.

Daniels actually reached out to LSU. The staff decided it was a Win Win scenario. Any talk of Daniels being promised anything is FALSE.

The staff actually reached out to Myles and re-recruited him.

Myles is your day one starter. Period. Y’all can argue about it through fall camp all y’all want.

So the staff accepted a 29 game starter with zero plans to start him? Do you really believe that? At the very least he has a legit chance.

Daniels wouldnt have come here if he didnt get enough feedback from the coaches that he would be the starter.

Kelly is a smart guy. If he had confidence in Brennan there is no way he brings in a guy who has been a 3 year starter because he knows it would create a QB controversy.

A lot of people hate hearing that Daniels is intending to go to the nfl. Maybe even after this season. He’s not here to chill. We know this as fact. This is business. He’s not coming here unless he has a legit chance to play immediately.

Yes.

But a smart guy doesn't tell a transfer he's going to start in the beginning.

I truly think this will be a legit QB competition and the best will play. Might be the first HC we've had in a long time who doesn't have favorites and this makes me so happy.

Also, Kelly isnt loyal to a QB. I watched a few games form his time at ND and if the starter wasn't getting it done, backup went in.

Either way, I think we'll see the best QB for the system on the field game 1.

I fricking hate what this is going to inevitably become- everyone will pick a guy and then shite on the other one.
LSUs backup QB is always the best on the team and the fans always want to fire the coach. It’s the same shite every football season with the QB and the same with the coach in every sport.

I should have elaborated.

He intends to go pretty quick. He was hoping to go after last year. He’s not here to chill on the bench.

I don’t think he was promised anything. I don’t think anyone was. But he is certainly here to start and intends to take that spot. Immediately. It may happen. It may not.
