Armchair QB: Looks like he has some throwing form to work out, relies on his arm too much instead of using his whole body to make throws.
But it's hard to compare against Burrow who had perfect form and a quick release. Brennan is much more of a gunslinger.
He did look a lot sharper on his throws in the games towards the end of the season.
Also of note, McMath is going to be a monster next year.
eta: Didn't realize that McMath is a true junior and will be a senior next year. Who's idea was it to burn his 2017 freshman year by playing him against BYU and Chatanooga?

Of course he has the arm strength but what I was impressed with is placement of the ball that allows his receivers to continue and not break stride and that's very important. And the second is his ability to step up in the pocket and either deliver the check down or run the ball which his running is better than i remember it being.
Another thing... Racey is definitely going to be a great third option next year

4 things I noticed.
1. Brennan looks relaxed in the pocket.
2. He scanned the field and went through progressions.
3. He has some wiggle and decent scrambling ability.
4. He has a cannon with a lot zip.
5. Jaray Jenkins may surprise some people next season. Brennan seemed to target him a lot and he’s a lot faster than I thought he was.
youre top 4 are spot on... but if there is ever a breakout WR for next year it is Racey for sure... Im wondering if they slide MArshall or chase to the slot to make room for him on the outside.. chase would make the most sense to me being the shorter of the 3

Does that mean Jamaar plays more in the slot?
Man I really think we are still going to have a great offense next year.

He has such an ugly throwing motion, it reminds me of Phillip Rivers.
He throws the ball like a second baseman or shortstop. The low release mitigates his height to some extent.
I think it's foolish for fans to believe that just because he "learned behind Joe" he's going to be able to come in and play at a high level. He hasn't taken a meaningful snap in two years. It will take time to develop feel for the game. I think you're going to see a guy who will make some laser crossing throws (leading to big RAC). But he will be inconsistent on the deep ball and probably try to jam in some late throws simply because of his arm strength.
He's NOT going to be Joe. And that's ok, as long as the playcaller tries to fit his strengths vs. trying to make him Joe 2.0. IMO, I think you see a better version of Jared Lee. A guy who can make all the throws. But one who is going to make some really poor ones. The good thing for Brennan is (A) he doesn't see terrified of pressure like Lee was and (B) he will have a OC who isn't terrified of letting the QB make plays

Brennan’s movement in the pocket makes me a little nervous. His footwork isn’t a calm and reassuring as joes,
I see what you are talking about but it may not bee a negative. It just may be his style. Maybe his feet will settle down and become more efficient with more playing time.
Yeah Ive said that to my friends for a while that he looks like he's had "happy feet" for a while but I have noticed he has worked on it alot this season. Closer to the end of the season I became alot more confident in him.

I think if there's anything as an armchair QB I can say he could really work on to elevate his game is faking defenses out with his eyes and shoulders. Seems like I knew exactly where the ball was going just about every one of his plays.
As much as we want to, comparing Brennan to Burrow doesnt do anything because theyre two very different quarterbacks. Brennan runs good enough for a pro-style QB but dont expect him to beat you with his legs like Burrow could.
Brennan is a gunslinger who trained under Brett Farve (his nephew backed up Brennan at Stanislaus). I forsee a "just chunk it" mentality showing a couple times next season. Im excited to see just how far he can throw.

Myles has all the tools to be successful in an offense like we had this year. Nobody will be Joe Burrow, but if he put up 70% of what Joe did in say 13 games he could have a great first season. That would be about 36 TD and 3400-3500 yards over 13 games. I think he's capable of that.

Watching him reminds me of Phillip Rivers.

I have a lot of respect for him, because in the age of the transfer portal, he could have left but he stayed to compete. I think he's hungry and will do well.
