Carlos Carson definitely top five.

I started watching right after he left, so the best I've seen have been:

1.) Wendell Davis (It may have been more T. Hodson's throws than W.D.'s skills)
2.) Eric Martin (Velcro on his hands)
3.) Josh Reed (Stat monster)
3a.) Demetrius Byrd (can catch anything if his head is not in his arse)
5.) Tony Moss (Good, solid, "lunch-bucket" type receiver who was always reliable.

Kennison and Kinchen should be in the top 10.

How is Josh Reed not #1 for everyone? 2 of the 4 best seasons ever for a LSU WR are under Josh Reed's name. One of those seasons being the best season ever for a SEC WR.

How can you objectively argue against that resume being the best ever?

You can't. Wendell Davis would be my second choice.

Josh Reed has to make the list.
Kinnison is also very deserving, especially considering LSU did not chunk it around as much back then.

I'm waiting for someone to throw out an Abram Booty.

Carlos Carson would definitely not be in my top 10, and maybe not my top 15. No huge knock on him because we didn't pass that much back then. He had one monster game against Rice in which he caught 5 TDs, and that's amazing. I think, though, that that memorable game skews people's judgment of him. Other than the Rice game, his LSU career was not top 10-worthy. Over a third of his career TDs came in that one game. He had just 14 total, and only 4 TDs over his junior and senior seasons. I'm not dogging Carlos, just making my case that we've easily had 10 (or more) receivers that were better.

No way Devery Henderson should be on anyone's list, Clayton not #1, no way, no how IMO, D. Byrd, no way that is also crazy. I mean top 10 ever in the history of the program D.Byrd, really?

What about Herman Fontenot? He was overshadowed by E. Martin but I remember him being pretty good. Though, I can't find his stats to see if my 25 yr memory is correct.

Kennison wasn't even the main guy on his own teams. Sheddrick Wilson was. Wilson was a stud.

And he was as important as anybody in bringing LSU back. Ask guys like Kevin Faulk and Rondell Mealey how important he was. As an LSU Tiger Wilson was much better than Kennison. Kennison just had a better pro career.

Wilson was very, very good, I loved watching him, he was just about a sure thing, he was really good, Devery really I don't agree, again top 10 in the history of the program, no way IMO. Tony Moss should be ahead of him, Todd Kinchen, numerous guys. Good player, but not top 10 ever.
