re: ESPN at Eunice High School

Actually, my name is Chad. I live in Plaquemine. I grew up in Lacombe on a horse farm.

But I appreciate you thinking I know what I am talking about.

The guy Derek from the ESPN site said he's been driving around Louisiana visiting all of the best seniors in the state.

I'm sure they know bout KH!
I'm a member of all three and EOT was absolute crap until the new guy took over. Now they have good recruiting info, they broke a few of the latest commitments, and they have like 5 or 6 new stories a day.

Still got a way to catch up, but they're making an effort.

ESPNU 150 stunk though.
EOT had a story about there being 36 LSU recruits on the watch list.

LSU is a national recruiting power

and didn't JC Shurburtt work for Rivals? Cause he's all over ESPN now. Nice to see we're getting pub.

National Power
I'm glad we have over 20 commitments, gives me more time to enjoy the disasters in Auburn and Tennessee.

I'm particuliarly enjoying the Auburn, "we'll sign 10 guys this weekend stuff".

Uh, they can only commit, not sign, and you got no commitments. Then they reload the same shite 2 weeks later.
If I paid my own money for that, to have smoke blown up my arse, I'd be pissed.

But then I'd look at the engineer of 5-19 patrolling the sidelines and realize that T-P'ing the trees in the summer is about all I have to look forward to.
been hearing a lot about Gibson playing WR at LSU.
the eval and the commit stories are both free.
They broke the story on Mathieu last night. They're getting better.
did they talk to him on the phone while he was at LSU? Cause word is he was at LSU all day.

Derek on Eye on the Tigers said he was the most likely back to get an offer if he had a good camp. I haven't seen much of him, but I heard he's big.

well, if the media can go but can't report, wouldn't that explain the lack of info?

No media @ the camp. New SEC rule.

Best DT in state is Churphy Steward and he might not qualify. Might be a slow year for us and DTs. I mean it had to catch up with us that we signed the best every year for like a decade.
I don't think he's wavering. He said in a couple of interviews how solid he is to LSU, and he's been to BR like 3 times since he committed. All on his own dime.

Best quote from the ESPN story on Elliot

quote:

"I feel like a million bucks, I mean I feel like a million bucks." Porter said with a huge breath of relief. "It's just, whoo! It makes me feel like I couldn't go wrong. This is the best decision of my life. It's like a dream come true."

Here is the ESPN story with eval of Porter Elliot Porter
Here is the eval ESPN did, with the highlight film

re: Jakhari Gore

he said Florida, Miami and Alabama. No Tennessee in his finalists.

His coaches description makes it seem like he's a Percy Harvin type. Maybe not strictly a RB.

I'm intrigued.

Jakhari Gore

Eye On The Tigers has him as interested in LSU and in his Final 4.

Anybody have any info on him? He seems like a good prospect, but not somebody I've heard of before.

And he's Frank Gore's cousin.

gut feeling or solid info?

And anything on Wright?

Looked real good at the Dome.

any updates? If we crap out on Trovon we're gonna need him.

ESPN fired Scott McKay

Posted by smokebendtiger on 6/19/09 at 4:58 pm
that site's been through some people. Rabalais and McKay in 1 year. I wonder who the next Scott they hire will be.
Micah Gibbs is a switch hitting catcher. Dude'll play forever.

And before you flame me, check out how long Paul Bako has been in the show. Catchers with any kind of offensive value (leftanded hitters or switchhitters) cash big checks for a long time.

Gibbs'll been a MLB fixture.

No LSU players in the first or second teams. Wow, 1 bad year and no love. How quickly they forget.
No. But if his biggest mistake is allowing a coach of a non-revenue sport, and no matter how successful Henry was T&F made no money, walk because they didn't bend to his demands, then he was successful. And that's what matters.
And as AD FIRED the guy he hired to replace him.

Dude ran a business.

Oh, and the next guy he hired has his team in Omaha, again.
If you know the whole story you'd realize you're a douche. Skip ran a business, and as a business decision refused to be strong armed by Henry.

And let me ask you, how much money is the A&M double worth? Was a double like that at LSU a financial windfall? Was it worth not putting the $ into improving Tiger Stadium and into the track facility? I mean c'mon if Skip was only bout himself why did football and basketball get improvements before baseball?

Nice attack on a guy who made us money and always won.
