I can guarantee with 100% certainty that Saban isn't going to be running a "Pro-Set I-Form Offense" that's designed for "Drop Back under Center" QB's with "Spread Shotgun" QB's.

Your Lord sure does struggle with spread offenses though.

en why has LSU declined each year since "21-0" to the current 8-5 and "Unranked" status?

We finished top 15 4 of the last 5 years.

The "Talent" at Alabama is no better than at LSU, yet they win the SEC and/or NC with consistent regularity.

You're stupid if you actually believe that. Bama has finished with the #1 class 6 of the last 7 years.

Keep everything the exact same at both programs, but just switch Head Coaches and LSU would immediately win the SEC.

You have no idea what you're talking about. We had Saban at lsu and he lost 4 games in 2000,3 games in 2001, 5 games in 2002, and 3 games in 2004 and don't give this "lsu didn't have talent when Saban got to lsu" because saban's first year was littered with at least 15 future nfl players and numerous players that may be the best ever at their position at lsu ( davey, Bradie james, josh reed).

Except no program in cfb has the talent bama does. LSU has not recruited at the level bama has. NO CFB PROGRAM HAS.

Then every year we finish in the middle of the SEC West pack and the "rebuilding" gumps go to the BCS national championship game or the playoffs

Well its sort of easier if you haven't played the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place east finisher in 5 years like bama. Bama hasn't played Uga since 2008 and hasn't played South Car since 2010. Since 2009 bama has played Uga,uf,and usc a total of 3 times while lsu has played those 3 a total of 9 times. It makes winning the west far easier. Also when Tex A&M and Mizz cane into the sec in 2012 every sec west team had 3 sec west home games except 1 team. 1 team had 4 sec west home games. Wanna take a guess which sec west team got an extra home game?

8-5 is a decline. Les needs to let his assistants do their job and stop screwing with the play calling coming down from Cameron and he should stay out of the offensive game planning.

Where have you been the last couple of yrs? Try about 37 early departures for the NFL...

Because in the last 5 years lsu has most an unheard of amount of juniors to the nfl draft.
From 2011-2014 lsu has lost 26 juniors to the nfl draft. By far the most of any program. the team that lost the 2nd most juniors to draft is Alabama and they've lost 13 juniors in that same time span.

Bamas schedule year in and year out is consistently weak.

I dissagree with talent being 99% of it. Im happy with the hire. I think our defense will look somewhere in between what bama and lsu have done in the past......could be a very good thing. But what he does as an actual def coach resultswise is a big question imo.

Anyone proposing that LSU wanted Chavis to leave and Steele was a grand slam hire needs get a grip on reality and stop making up shite.

Les was dumbfounded when Chavis left and Steele was not a top-tier candidate to replace him.

Does that mean it won't work out in LSU's favor? Of course not. The book just got opened.

But 4 pages of back and forth idiocy doesn't mean jack. The facts are simple. LSU hasn't played for the SEC Title since 2011. LSU last season finished 4-4 in the SEC and unranked nationally. Arky and AU crushed LSU in last year's matchups. MSU - yes, MSU - did the same, but decided to press the brake too soon but escaped. Alabama made the NC playoffs. Even Ole Miss played LSU to a 7-10 loss in Tiger Stadium.

The SECW isn't going away.

Ok.

LSU played UF and UK last year. Where did they finish in the SECE? And LSU still finished 4-4 in the SEC.

f you go from 13-1 to 8-5 with the record getting worse every year, then you have undergone a decline. You should grab a dictionary and look up the definition of decline.

LSU's program the last three seasons has been the epitome of the word decline. For all of the supposed talent, the win-loss record has declined and that's the bottom line. That's all that matters.

We lost 17 juniors in 2 drafts

And we've had one QB the last several years

Keep it real

should have beaten BAMA 2 of the last 3 years

We're fine

great point

it took them 11 games to finally make a tweak to the offense?
They changed up the running game by Florida (most notably the bend-runs to Fournette), so no it didn't take 11 games.

Sweet. So losing 3 of the last 6 games scoring an average of 19ppg (including 41 points against UK) was progress.

Nice.

That still doesn't explain why we finished behind Marshall, Memphis, Air Force and Duke. Explain that one, please.

Ok.thats 1 year where none of our skills position players had more than 2 games worth of experience. We started the 5th most freshman in the country. except for 2014 and 2011 lsu has played UF and either usc/Uga every year since 2009. Bama hasn't done it once since 2008.

Except it does explain it. The sec isn't the conference you want to start a bunch of True freshman. We started the 5th most freshman in the country. Not one of our skill position players have started more than 2 games and most hadn't had 1 start.
