Just by reading 2 pages it’s clear most of you don’t actual know what being a college coach is about.

There is a reason many coaches go to the nfl, and why many people believe being a HC/OC/DC is much harder in college. You don’t just stop recruiting because there is an sec game. There is an sec game 66% of the time. You leave practice, hop on a flight for an hour, meet with a kid for 1-2 hours, hop back on a plane. 5 hour trip. Sure it’s exhausting, but you bust your arse, that’s why they get paid millions of dollars.

Not to mention, the kids know “That dude just flew to Dallas on a Thursday night before an sec game to see me.”...that stands out. Great to hear Dave like this

On the nose.
Only thing you missed are the calls he has to make to recruits in the car on the way over and back. He leaves the office with a list to call every day.

It's ALWAYS been "guilty until proven innocent" regardless of "the Presumption of Innocence" bullshite or what textbooks would have people believe. Otherwise people wouldn't be thrown in jail when "accused" of a crime, AND have to post bond to get out! Presumption of Innocence? Ha! More like Presumption of Guilt! The truth is, you're GUILTY until you can prove your INNOCENCE! Don't believe me?

Just ask Judge Brett Kavanaugh!

thread was started yesterday and I'd be willing to bet, since this is a home game, that DA, as well as other coaches will be at a few hs games tonight as well

Yeah, I seriously doubt that's Dave Aranda. Skin complexion is too light, head is too round, Dave Aranda has a pointier head, the dude looks a little bit thicker than Dave Aranda as well. Also, I would assume somebody with as high a profile as Dave Aranda wouldn't be wearing LSU gear but would probably be in a suit and tie or at the very least, regular street clothes not anything that's going to attract attention to himself and have every Joe blow yelling Geaux Tigers, shaking his hand and taking pictures with him while he's on a business trip.

Who knows if you would lie? Maybe you would...maybe you wouldn't! Not saying you are though!

I just find it hard to believe that upon meeting your son, one of the first things Aranda says is "Can't wait to beat the hell out of Ol' Miss"!

Imposter maybe?

I don’t think op is lying, his son probably believes he met Aranda. But there is no chance that was actually him.

Coaches regularly wear team issued gear when out recruiting. Have no clue if that’s him but it’s not out of the realm of possibility for him to make a short flight to Dallas for just a few hours to recruit

come on bro, most people that aren't LSU fans couldn't pick him out of a lineup

oh yeah, school gear is about 90% of the wardrobe of an asst. coach, especially if he was working

I believe you, especially with the pic. But maybe your son put some words in Aranda's mouth. I do believe the "dead period" is over so you better believe the coaches are out recruiting every opportunity they get. Dallas is a short flight; he was probably back in BR the same night. I think most people jumped on you because they feared he was going meet the Cowboys, but with the LSU shirt on it's quite clear he was going watch a Thursday football game or just visiting a recruit's home. I like it!

I met an LSU position coach in the spring of 2016 in the Denver Airport. We actually had a beer or 3 and talked a little football while waiting for our flights. He was on his way back to BR from a personal trip; I was on my way to Seattle for business. Don't remember his name, as it didn't really seem brag worthy. Just thought I'd throw that in there to show the doubters that it's completely feasible to meet "important" people if you get out the house once in a while. I also met Terrell Suggs at Harrah's a night or two before the 2012-13 SB, Archie Manning at the Bud's Broiler on City Park Ave., Gil Meche at City Bar in Lafayette during his MLB days, and the skinny kid from the movie Road Trip at Whiskey Blue in Nola. Still waiting to meet Dave Wannstedt so I can personally thank him for 2007.

Not Aranda. That is obviously a photo of Mr. Peanut.
