After Stony Brook last season, I think we learned our lessons about counting chickens

I just don't see us losing 2 consecutive supers at the Box.

Could it happen? Sure. Is OU good? Sure. But historically the odds are in our favor IMO.

I would go so far to say that I will be shocked if we lose 2 consecutive Supers at the Box. Somehow someway we will find a way, even if we were to lose Game1.

I don't think we will cruise. I do, however think this team is battle tested, and knows how to win. The crowds will be loud, and I hope this rattles Gray (his road record is not great). Also, I like Nola against their bats. If we pull out the first game, we have a chance to cruise. Mainieri will have the team ready and we have leadership on this team.

LSUzealot My general feeling is that LSU fans think we will cruise this weekend. Am I off thinking that? I think the series will be very difficult. Seems like LSU fans are already counting their chickens.

SO! Fans aren't playing so how confident or not the fans are is quite irrelevant to performance

I haven't heard that. I for one think the series could go either way.

I love all the not after the regionals last week. LSU only went 3-0 in their Regional. They're doomed...just like during the SEC Tournament...only won the thing, but lost a game and didn't blow everyone out...doomed I tell ya.

Well, now that mclovin will at least be batting, I feel much better.

Also having jones at second base and laird in the outfield = mud hole stomped in arse.

I'm nervous, but i know if we play to our potential we take 2 of 3. Hope we play well. I like having their fans disliking us and want that to continue. I wish I could be there to help get in ole boys head. Hope the crazies come out.

I think this series will be like the arky series. We lose against their ace, but we win the other two. Of course I hope I'm wrong and we go 2-0

If we win tomorrow, I think it's a 95% chance we win the series.

Gotta hit. AND if we get a man on base with 0 or maybe even 1 out, why not bunt him over regardless the inning. I know it's not popular on this board but this is why u practice the bunt..when a pitcher like Gray is on the mound. The game could very well end 1-0 so any sacrifice fly, bunt, or hit could mean the game. Baseball is very strategic and talent separates all. We are the most talented. Do what u have to do to get the W.

Well, we're absolutely better than Oklahoma at every phase of the game. And honestly, we have more reason to be confident than any of the other host teams. We are absolutely the biggest favorite this weekend of all the teams left.

That said, this is baseball, anything can happen. All the teams left are good and are capable of beating any other team on a given day if things go their way. So no, I don't think it's going to be an easy series. The only way any team in any super regional will have an easy series this weekend is if their opponent chokes. But we absolutely have the most favorable matchup of any of the remaining teams, and anyone who doesn't see that is just being negative.
