Our receivers make little effort to work for balls

ust because of seniority? If there are hungry WR's on the bench, why aren't they playing? I don't get it at all.

IMO, Coach O will play the "best" player at each position unlike Miles who chose seniority

Secondary was disappointing Saturday. Jefferson and Tolliver look lost a lot of the time.

2. Pocic got beat a lot. May have just been one bad game but he got beat.

It hasn't been one game. He has pretty much played like crap all year long. Very disappointing!

Tolliver didn't play, did he?

Etling and Dupree need to get on the same page ASAP. That last drive he was open at least 3 times for sure TD's.

no, the tight camera iso on Dupre didn't show the defenders that were nearby and could've made a play on the ball if it was thrown.

I think les established a culture of nonchalant practices. CEO appears to be changing that. I think we will see more physicality moving forward.

Coach O and others have alluded to how physical and long the practices were, and how beat up we were come November.

Kevin Steele read LSU's playbook. The Auburn defenders knew where they had to be on the field, and they got there ahead of the LSU players more often than not. There was zero hesitation by the Auburn defenders. Compare that to how LSU defenders played for Steele last season, and there was an obvious difference.

Les Miles was too stubborn to make any adjustments in the offense to take advantage of what Auburn was doing. No misdirection plays except for one reverse. No read option plays. No roll out and throw back across the field. Any of those would have caught Auburn over pursuing and resulted in big plays.

Our new head coach has been coaching the defensive line for 2 years.

That's one of my biggest disappointments defensively. The lack of push by our line. It's like they take up a block and stop. I thought this was supposed to be an attacking gap scheme.

No, Toliver didn't play at all.

Good write up, Idk why you are getting downvoted so much. Good analysis from what you can see.

Nothing drove me nuts more than our dline just slowly getting set, meanwhile Auburn was snapping the ball and running right at them. Gonna lose that battle every time cause you are never the low man.

Should have kept Tony Ball

Should have kept Adam Henry (though he jumped for the NFL so not really possible)

I don't know what to tell you but I have a large wide screen TV and I can see who is within 5 yards of a receiver. That's enough room to tell. You're just plain wrong. Sure there are receivers I can't see but I'm not referring to them. There were a few plays where it's obvious the ball is supposed to go to a certain receiver but if he's not open you have to adapt. For the most part he did ok by running and getting a few first downs but in previous games he kept his eyes down field and hit a receiver. His pocket awareness was not as good this game either. A large part of our passing game problem are the terrible routes and the lack of energy the receivers have in running them. This needs an overhaul and fast. The offensive line is not playing near as badly as people are saying on here. The only guy he got beat against Auburn was Pocic and I think he just had a bad night.

Watch out. This armchair QB has one of them fancy new-fangled wide screen TVs. Apparently this one is different from everyone else's in that it shows more than what the cameras show us lowly people.

The team stopped believing in Miles. When you see listless behavior, when you see phoning it in. That means the team overall stopped trusting that Miles had his heart in the game.

We are averaging 23 points per game and only 16.7 PPG vs P5 opponents.
That's all we need to know about Auburn or the season to date. Two of the P5 teams were basically picked to finish at the bottom in the West and we squeaked by one and lost to the other.
There's your assessment.

You can't see the full field from the TV broadcast. Guys that look open in the middle in a close up view often have a safety nearby trying to bait the throw.

this; saw it several times when Dupre may have looked open. one time there were 2 defenders lurking
