If they take a big step back offensively this season recruiting will tank again. I don't think it will happen but ensminger needs a lot of help to hmkeep this train rolling.

Screw him. Let's find a passing coordinator who wants to be here
This is such a dumbass statement. Do you think he should stay here without any promotion? I'm sure he would have had no problem "wanting to be here" if he would have gotten some kind of promotion. I'm sure he has aspirations to be more than an offensive analyst.

No coach worth a damn will stay somewhere as an analyst because they love it so much they just want to be there. Especially when that person has been getting interviews for offensive coordinator positions.

ETA - it's a shame we couldn't work something out to keep him here.

His staff is dwindling

LSU has lost two actual coaches. The analyst staff has about a 50 percent turnover every year. That's the point of it. It's a breeding ground for young coaches to move up.

As opposed to Joe Brady who...,,,had done nothing?

Dude was hand picked by Brady to join LSU’s staff. He sat at his right side for every game this year.

Some of you have zero clue how learning & development work

I hate to see him go, but if O wanted him to be Brady's replacement, we would have kept him. O must have something better lined up. Like Curtis Johnson.

It's all about being able to attract and develop elite qbs. Yes orgeron can keep lsu as a 9 or 10 win team perrenially but without elite qb play you can kiss any future playoff appearance goodbye. Look at the main competition and their qb recruiting...bama and GA. 5 stars.

That's exactly what it means, lol.

If LSU wanted Munoz, then LSU would hire him as an on-field coach and he would stay. They didn't, he isn't.

So, LSU is moving in a different direction (personnel wise, not scheme wise).

That's just it. Burrow leaving alone will result in the offense taking a step back. Not saying that Brennan isn't going to be good, but we're not gonna out up numbers like we did this season. I assumed that we'd try to keep as much continuity among the staff as we could. Ensminger isn't going to get it done by himself.

It’s not that simple.

“On field coach” is broad & different money allotments come with different titles & responsibility.

There’s a lot of variables to this. You just can’t say LSU didn’t want him because that isn’t true. Baylor could have just offered more in terms of money, title & responsibility

Yes, and while that was going on, Brady was coaching linebackers.

Sometimes there's more to it than meets the eye.

That's because he put the right people in the right spot to succeed. You want another Joe Burrow type talent? You got to recruit it or we will never see 15-0 again smdh
