Ed doesn't mind making changes when things don't work. The problem is that the reason things don't work is because of his terrible hires that cost millions of dollars.

What assistant is going to hook their wagon to O? Pretty obvious O’s gone from penthouse to outhouse in record time. Looks like a chiznick about to happen so why would a decent coach pull up their current stakes and tie up with O? Not much motive there unless you back up a dump truck full of money.

My take on O claiming the defense was already better than the previous defense, IMO, is because he wanted people to think he had made a genius hire and his philosophy of running 4-3 was better. Look at the Giles situation, with giving him the jersey number, I think he wanted people to think he was so great at player assessment ( with picking up transfers ) and we found out Giles was horrible.

Yeah, for a guy that is supposed to build his entire program around strong coordinators, the Canada and Pelino hires have been unmitigated disasters. And he continues to keep his fishing buddy employed when the guy doesn’t even want the job.
