You know what man, you’re right I’m sorry I’ve been wrong (and right) quite a few times... You deserve better... You pay way too much to be here to not get a better quality product out of a TD employee like me. Hold on while I process your refund, with interest of course

Wished he'd just hired 'em all this year and saved the money.

The fact that TAF and boosters are willing to buy out 4 coaches in a year where they University is losing tons of money should speak loud and clear how fans feel about the state of the program. This shite is unacceptable and there's really no way anyone can spin it otherwise.

LSU is a public institution that gets state funding as well as money from students. They also get money from the football program. Everything that goes into paying the coaches has absolutely jack shite to do with anything about the university. It’s privately funded.

Are the coordinator candidates you can’t name that are under contract older guys like O likes to hire or are they younger? I just want some new blood to energize the team. I wouldn’t mind just making Christian LaCouture the DL coach because he is supposedly are great recruiter. I would love to just take Arkansas coordinators on both sides and plug Odom and Briles right in.

I bet the easy "young" hire here IMO is Kris Richard. Also Coached by O at USC. Idk how I feel about it but I'm sure he'd relate to kids better than fricking dinosaur Pelini

I understand how the money works. That's not the point I was making. We, along with everyone else are losing loads of money this year which would make it difficult to buy out one coach, much less 4.

Do you think they might make him an analyst?

The problem with Richard is recruiting. You really need your DC to have roots and contacts in the south for recruiting. Richard is a west coast guy. If it’s an ok modern guy I think Derek Mason would be intriguing but I would like a guy in his 30’s or early 40’s. Barry Odom would be a good hire and I like Marcus Freeman at Cincinnati or David Reeves at UAB.

For sure. I'm just saying, he fits into the "Pete Caroll Coaching Tree" guys that O loves.

just making Christian LaCouture the DL coach

So you want someone with no DL coaching experience to be your Dline coach? And have him just learn on the job? At a program like LSU?

Are. You. fricking. Serious?
